May made a candid admission about his former Top Gear colleague
James May has commented on his former co-star's new venture by sharing his feelings on Jeremy Clarkson’s pub.
Clarkson has recently filmed the fourth series of his Amazon Prime series, Clarkson’s Farm, in which he shares the goings-on at Diddly Squat in Oxfordshire.
May, who also starred alongside Clarkson in The Grand Tour, admitted he hadn't expected the series to still be going.
When asked if he had been surprised by Clarkson’s Farm longevity, the 61-year-old said: “Yes, because he's not very practical.”
He continued: “He's deeply afraid of anything physical or manual.”
However, explaining what the new show means to his former co-star, he confessed: “It's given him a new purpose, which he possibly needed.

When asked about Clarkson and Richard Hammond, who starred alongside the two in both car shows, May told Radio Times: “I’ve spoken to them a few times and I suspect we’ll go out for a beer somewhere – just because we can – not because we have to come up with some gags, plan a road trip or choose some cars, but for the hell of it. It’d be quite interesting.”

Clarkson has made clear Prime Minister Keir Starmer isn’t welcome at his new pub, The Farmer’s Dog, but he’s also claimed May is banned also.
May also has a pub, The Royal Oak in Wiltshire, and when asked if he would welcome Clarkson and the Prime Minister, he confirmed he would.
James May admitted Clarkson isn't 'practical'
GettyHe went on to say his pub is more “liberal-minded” and claimed that while locals would have “tough questions” for Starmer, healthy debate is part of pub culture.
Last month, May detailed an aspect of his own pub he "hates," labelling it "b***** awful."
He is part owner of The Royal Oak pub, found in the Wiltshire village of Swallowcliffe, in 2020.
"I’ve never taken any money out of this pub. All I’ve done is spend money here," he recently admitted.
He confessed one feature on the pub was “b***** awful nonsense”.
The dining room features a mock wood-burning stove complete with a faux fire effect.
