James May could be embarking on a new career path after he claimed his TV show – James May: Our Man In... – was axed due to "miserable" TV bosses.
The series saw May travel to different countries and undergo various local activities, trying their local cuisine and getting a feel for their culture.
The first series saw May travel to Japan, with the second focusing on Italy and now the third and final season looks at his time in India.
The 61-year-old recently opened up about the third series and admitted that whilst he was at first saddened by the news of it being axed, it gave him some relief to be at home for longer.
Speaking to Yahoo UK, he explained: "Well Our Man In... is actually finished, they don't want any more of that, so I won't be doing that.
"But that does take you away from home for a long time, which I wasn't so keen on these days anyway.

"I think the thing that appeals to me in these sort of more mature years of my life is arts and crafts really, I want to make things, play musical instruments, and look at paintings.
"So anything that involves that I'm very up for."
Lamenting on the decision to cancel Our Man In, May bluntly responded: "Well, they just didn't want it anymore, miserable b*****ds."
Now that he won’t be focusing on the travel series, May could look at a career in the arts, hoping to create artistic items, play musical instruments, and look at paintings.

Claiming that he's up for anything that involves getting creative, Mayalso hinted that he may ramp up his show James May and the Dull Men's Club.
He told the same publication: "This is very much the first series I think, if they want some more of it we will ramp it up a bit, maybe, and spend a bit more time on some of these ideas and make them more thoroughly."
It comes as May’s TV return has reportedly been confirmed with his next series of The Dull Men's Club which will launch on November 5 at 9pm on Quest.
The career blow comes alongside a severe injury the star sustained which is taking longer to heal due to his "age".
He was forced to pull out of a charity bike ride and posted on X: "I'm taking part in a charity bicycle ride today, with the Armonico Consort and me old mate Oz Clarke (OBE).
"But I’m going in the car because I bust my wrist in a bicycle accident." He followed up on his unfortunate health update with another post about the event, this time including a snap from proceedings.

"This is the event II was supposed to accompany the musicians upon the piano, but now can’t."
The injury also set back his Channel 5 series - The Great Explorers – leaving the star to explain to The Telegraph: “At my age, this sort of thing takes much longer to heal.
"I woke up one day and the one thing I never thought would happen had happened: I felt old. It's partly my hair; my baggy face."
