James Martin takes huge step in new relationship just seven months on from split with partner of 12 years

James Martin seemed to take his relationship with his new girlfriend Kim Johnson to the next level and took a break from his hectic schedule to spend quality time together on holiday in France.
The Saturday Kitchen host, 52, was pictured at bed and breakfast Le Jardin de Rose with Johnson this week in a brutal blow towards his ex-girlfriend Louise Davies of 12 years.
During the couple's long-term relationship, Martin was continuously insistent that marriage never "interested" him in the slightest, and couldn't ever see himself settling down.
Back in 2019, he explained to the Daily Mail: "No, it doesn't interest me in the slightest, mainly because I've catered for so many weddings, really. I admire people who do it, that's fine, but I'm quite happy. I don't need to spend 60 grand on a day, no, I'm more than happy thanks."
He later admitted that his career was the centre of his life, and told Prima in 2020: "The biggest low of my career is that I’ve given up everything for it.
"I look at my mates and they’re all married with kids, and that's not the case for me because I’ve been so focused on work.

"The level of commitment it requires and the choices you have to make have a huge impact. But would I do the same thing again? Probably, because it’s made me who I am. And why does everybody have to follow the norm anyway?"
Earlier this year, a spokesperson for Martin confirmed to the same publication that he and Davies parted ways in December 2023 after meeting on the set of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? in 2011.
Now, the chef seems to have moved on from his long-term relationship just seven months later and whisked new girlfriend Johnson away to the Bed and Breakfast in France.
Martin was pictured smiling with his arm around Johnson, donning a denim shirt and navy shorts, whilst she posed in a floral dress, hugging James.

The couple's relaxing break is advertised as the "ideal" old country house for sightseeing, fishing and walking, and left the owners of the B&B to post about their famous guest on their Facebook page.
Owners Min and Barry also shared a snap with Martin, posting the photo on Facebook with the caption: "Le Jardin de Rose may only be a very small quiet side in semi-rural France but we have fabulous guests. Thank you, James Martin."
According to The Mail, a stay at the hotel costs €89 per person, per night which includes a private bathroom and continental breakfast in the morning.
Martin and Johnson went public back in March 2024, after the couple were pictured shopping together in London's Mayfair.

Johnson is the ex-wife of businessman Arun, who was married to actress Elizabeth Harley, 59, from 2007 to 2011.
The personal trainer got married to Arun in 2016 and they divorced the following year but have remained friends following their separation.
