Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd has been slammed by ITV Celebrity Big Brother viewers after he complained about the cost of his upcoming wedding, despite his rumoured soap salary.
Shepherd has been part of the soap since 2000, and it has previously been suggested that Shepherd earns around £250,000 from the ITV soap.
However, last night, he made his feelings clear about his money worries as he gears up to spend a “fortune” on his wedding to fiancé Hanni Treweek.
During last night’s episode, Danny Beared asked the soap star: “Are you married, love?” to which he confirmed he would be in July.
Ella Wise became excited by the news and noted: “You’re getting married in July? Ooh,” before Beard added: “What entertainment and food have you got?”
In the candid moment for him, Shepherd admitted: “Food costs a f***ing fortune. I’m not arsed for it.”

“Just get Gregg’s to sponsor you, babe,” Donna Preston joked before Shepherd quipped back: “They won’t. No one’s a**ed. No one’s interested.”
Shocked at his negative admission, she continued: “Yeah, they will. Surely your management can get Maccies or something.”
Beard agreed and added: “Just Instagram them! Gregg’s would be a shout in the evening, You need good food int he day and then something cool like that in the night, Greggs.”
Wise continued: “You can get a McDonald’s truck, can’t you? And they serve you cheeseburgers and chips!”
Shepherd noted that he thought it could be a bit “tacky” before Beard felt it would be something people would “love”.
Whilst the housemates thought the idea of getting a sponsorship was a good idea, many viewers at home were left unimpressed with the conversation and took to social media to slam the conversation.
One penned: “Jack P Shepherd - who earns around quarter of a million per year for #corrie, and 100k for this stint on #cbbuk.
“Whinging about food costs for his wedding, and his fellow celebs telling him to message caterers on Instagram to do him a deal. Oh my heart bleeds. F***ing plebs.”
Another added: “You’re David Platt and have been on Corrie since you were 12. Surely you can splash out on wedding food, Jack?”
“Jack is on #Corrie, so he expects to get a brand deal to cater his wedding?! #CBBUK,” someone else said before a fourth added: “Jack talking about the cost of a wedding.

“Do u reckon we're on the same wedding budget, bestie?”
A fifth noted: “Sorry Jack, you earn £250k a year and really shouldn’t be in a position to complain about how much food for weddings cost.”
However, not all were against the star as one viewer agreed: “Jack so real, food costs way too much at weddings.” (sic)
