The new series of the ITV talent show will be returning at the end of the month

The Voice UK has already been slammed by eagle-eyed viewers just hours after the new series trailer dropped which saw new judges LeAnn Rimes and McFly stars Danny Jones and Tom Fletcher take their place in the iconic red chairs.

Emma Willis is returning to host the series, alongside superstar coaches Sir Tom Jones and will.i.am who have been part of the show since its inception.

In just two weeks aspiring artists will take to the stage in the hope of turning one of the iconic red chairs and will be competing to win a life-changing record contract with music giants EMI, £50,000 and a trip to Universal Orlando Resort.

The trailer for the new series was posted on social media last night, however, it didn't take long for fans to notice that the logo that had been used was the original BBC logo.

Picking up the blunder, one user commented: "Whoever at ITV Googled 'the voice logo' and grabbed the first thing they found to badly overlay onto this box better hide because this is the BBC’s logo from a decade ago. It’s giving.. budget!"

"Suppose it's good to know they care as little about the show as the general population," someone else noted before a third said: "BBC vs ITV. Different design, different ‘V’, different angle, different colours, different materials, the outline vs 3D metal outline etc."

Someone else slammed: "Honestly get it back to how it was on the BBC anyway, the format was so much better back then."

"I love how they've clearly told the judges to wave and look like they're excited to be there," a fifth noted before a fifth expressed: "Genuinely though, how does this keep getting recommissioned? I don’t know one person who watches it." (sic)

International multi-platinum-selling singer and Grammy Award winner Rimes will be taking a seat in one of the coaching chairs, in a bid to find the next big star.

Fletcher and Jones from McFly will sit in a double chair for the first time in The Voice UK’s history - with the latter being no stranger to the show after coaching on The Voice Kids for six series.

The duo said about their new role: "To be making The Voice UK history as the first-ever double chair combo is going to be epic and we're both ready for the challenge.

"And of course, we couldn't ask to be in greater company than our fellow Voice family members Emma, Will, Sir Tom and LeAnn. Roll on the talent."

Their arrival onto the show comes after Olly Murs and Anne-Marie were booted from the series, with the former X Factor star commenting on his departure: "I'm gutted. I got the call last week to say I won’t be back on the show, and it’s a bit of a shock, to be honest.

"I didn’t really expect that to come. But I don’t want to sit here like other artists might, and shine and gloss this up and say, ‘It was my decision’. I don’t want to do that.

"I don’t want to bulls**t my fans or bulls**t people who watch the show, and say, ‘Oh, it was an amicable decision to leave — I’ve got lots of things on next year, I can’t do it any more’.

"No. Genuinely, I accept their decision, and they’ll find someone great, I’m sure. But am I going to miss it? Yeah. Did I want to leave? No. Will I still watch the show? Of course, but it’ll be sore thinking that could have been me..."
