Kerry Katona shared who she thinks will be the first celeb to be heading home

Former I'm A Celebrity star Kerry Katona has predicted that Melvin Odoom could be one of the first contestants to leave the jungle, despite her personal connection with the radio DJ.

Speaking to GB News, she explained that the star is "getting lost" amongst the big personalities on the ITV show.

The former Atomic Kitten star said: "I think Danny's [Jones] gonna win. I'm still trying to get to know Tulisa [Contostavlos] as well. She quite guarded and quite caged, I think.

"I know Melvin really well, he is lovely. I just think he's getting lost amongst it all. I think he may be one of the first to go."

She added: "I think it's down to the younger generation, but I do think that there are more celebrities going in."

Katona expressed surprise at Jane Moore's performance in the jungle, particularly her bravery in the first challenge.

She said: "I'm really surprised by Jane Moore and her age by jumping out of that plane, which I thought was quite heroic."

The verdict comes as Melvin currently serves as one of the camp cooks alongside McFly star Danny Jones, following assignments from camp leaders Contostavlos and Alan Halsall.

Last night, Dean McCullough became the first celebrity of the 2024 series to quit a Bushtucker Trial during Monday night's episode.

The BBC Radio 1 presenter faced the 'Sinister Sarcophagus' challenge, which required him to answer Egypt-related questions while locked in a clear coffin.

"I absolutely hate confined spaces, this is not a good day," He admitted before the trial.

Despite correctly answering two questions and securing two stars, McCullough called out "I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!" when sand began filling the sarcophagus.

Speaking about the trial, Katona said: "What people don't understand what it is like when you have a genuine fear.

"The thing is, he is scared of was sand. When you have a genuine fear of being claustrophobic and you know you're not being able to face that fear."

"I mean, I actually did say I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here on one of my final trials when they wanted to put all these cockroaches on me. And when you're in that moment, it is so terrifying."

The emotional presenter later explained: "It's the fact that I couldn't move my legs. This is no joke."

Loose Women star Jane Moore supported McCullough upon his return to camp, calling his achievement of two stars "incredible" for someone suffering from claustrophobia.

The public has since voted for him to face another trial alongside GK Barry, called 'Drown in the Dumps'.
