The Traitors star was the sixth contestant to be voted off this weekend

Mollie Pearce became the sixth contestant to leave Dancing on Ice last night, despite receiving near-perfect scores from the judges during Musical Week.

The 23-year-old Traitors runner-up was eliminated after landing herself in the skate-off against Towie star Dan Edgar.

She received the lowest combined votes and scores from judges Oti Mabuse, Ashley Banjo, Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean.

The shock exit came after her performance with partner Colin Grafton earned impressive marks from the panel, including three 9.0s and one 8.5.

All four judges noted that they thought both performances had done better in the skate-off rather than the main performance – with Mabuse being the only one to save Pearce and partner Colin Grafton.

After receiving the news she had been booted, host Holly Willoughby comforted: “Mollie we are going to miss you so much, you are a joy and I feel like you have loved this experience with Colin.”

Pearce exclaimed: “I have had the best time and these are happy tears because honestly I have met a friend for life and this is an experience of a lifetime and I have loved it.

“I am proud to have made it this far, these are happy tears.”

Many fans suggested the panel must have been “watching something different” when awarding such generous scores.

Despite the ongoing scoring row, many fans claimed that the show had been fixed for Edgar to win and there was no chance that Pearce would have been saved.

Taking to X, one furious user penned: “Absolutely gutted....Jayne had no backbone to save you - as she should've done. Well done to Oti for doing the right thing and choosing you.”

Proves how FIXED this show is ... awarding the couple who actually FELL high point,” another added before a third said: “Sad to see Mollie go home tonight, sadly I knew Dan would be saved.”

A fourth noted: “I felt the odds were stacked against Molly... After the first week, her choreography appeared much weaker than the others. I've noticed this happening before...

The overall quality of skating on the show is quite basic now compared to years ago...”

Let's be honest they didn't stand a chance. Shameful,” one saddened viewer said before someone else penned: “Robbed…don’t bother with a final you may as well hand the trophy to Dan now…totally fixed!” (sic)

Her elimination comes after all couples gave it their all this weekend for a musical extravaganza, which welcomed routines from the likes of Oliver and Cabaret to the ice.

Pearce skated to Mamma Mia from the show and movie of the same name, with her routine even including the daring headbanger move.

The episode also saw the leaderboard topped with the first 40 of the series, with retired footballer Anton Ferdinand achieving the perfect score, having left Mabuse in tears with his number.
