Dancing on Ice fans have often slammed the judges and accused them of overmarking and giving “unfair” scores so far this series - despite some contestants making major mistakes.
Over the last couple of weeks, it has been Love Island star Amber Davies and Made in Chelsea star Miles Nazaire who have continued to receive the high scores.
Judges Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean, Oti Mabuse and Jordan Banjo have been impressed week after week with the progress the contestants have been making.
However, some viewers of the competition have claimed they have their favourites and are marking contestants such as Davies and Nazaire higher than the others on purpose.
Dance expert Dr Jill Jacobs has rejected this notion and claimed that they are going off of human decency while looking at their technique and skating skills.
Speaking to GB News on behalf of Heart Bingo, she offered: “We are humans and there are other things that play into it and one of them is compassion for the contestants.

“The contestants standing in front of them, they are part of the journey, how can they not be? Their human heart is attached and connecting to that person.
“I noticed that the technical judges scored higher in the last show so maybe they had a meeting, maybe not but technically it went higher.
“When Johnny Weir was a guest last week I thought he was quite tough on them and I didn’t always agree with him but we are humans.
“I think that it is extremely fair judging. Much more compared to another dance show that is very big. Extremely fair, extremely democratic, more this year than last year.”

During week four, viewers of the show were furious that Adele Roberts was “marked down” compared to Davies who "didn’t skate solo”.
Roberts and partner Mark Hanretty skated a speedy Charleston to Hit The Road Jack and scored 30 out of 40 possible points.
Mabuse noted that it was a “brilliant way to open the show,” before Banjo added he was a “huge fan of how much you jam-packed into the routine".
Davies and partner Simon Proulx-Senecal performed a sexy cha cha cha to Michael Buble’s Sway and received a score of 34, the highest score of the series at that point.

Dancing on Ice fans have accused the judges of favouritism

She has since gone on to beat that score with 35.5 after her performance during musicals week where she performed the headbanger.
Viewers had an issue with her scores, as one annoyed X user wrote: “Amber and Simon very good but no dancing on her own and gets 8.5 jeez....one rule for one!!'
“I really love Amber & that was a great performance, but I’m struggling to understand how they can score her that high when she didn’t let go of Simon’s hand the entire time? Surely she needs to be skating a bit on her own,” another posted.
A third agreed: “It's crazy how Amber is at the top of the score board with 34.0. She didn't skate once on her own and the others were way better than her routine. She's from an ITV show why am I not surprised?” (sic)
