Former Coronation Street and Hollyoaks actress Stephanie Davis has revealed her two-month-old son Samuel was rushed to hospital after he stopped breathing.
The 32-year-old star described the ordeal as "the scariest time of my life" in a heartfelt social media post.
Davis explained that on Monday, Samuel suffered "three scary episodes" where he stopped breathing, prompting the urgent hospital visit.
The actress shared a black and white snapshot of her son's hand during his hospital stay as she opened up about the terrifying A&E dash.
Samuel, who Davis welcomed in January with her boyfriend Joe McKalory, was taken to Whiston Hospital where he received emergency care.
The infant was admitted to the high dependency unit as medical staff worked to stabilise his condition.
Samuel underwent a series of intensive medical procedures during his hospital stay.
Davis revealed: "He's endured 2 lumbar punctures which unfortunately didn't work & had a bloody tap, a head scan, lung scan & I can't count how many Cannulas he's had to have put in and out."

The lumbar puncture procedure involves inserting a thin needle into the lower back to collect cerebrospinal fluid for analysis.
When this was unsuccessful, doctors ordered comprehensive head and lung scans to determine the cause of Samuel's breathing difficulties.
Medical staff also administered "every antibiotic" to ensure the infant's wellbeing.
"He's had the full works and every antibiotic to make sure he's ok," Davis explained in her social media post.
The extensive testing was necessary to identify and treat whatever had caused the two-month-old to stop breathing.
Davis described the experience as "absolutely horrendous & traumatic" as she watched her baby son undergo multiple medical procedures.
"I've felt totally helpless & powerless the past few days," she wrote, expressing the emotional toll the situation had taken.
The actress admitted her anxiety was "through the roof" as she cared for her seriously ill infant.
She reflected on other parents in similar situations, writing: "The whole time I have thought about those mums who have poorly babies in hospital for a long time and I honestly don't know how you do it."
Davis confessed she was "mentally and physically drained" by the ordeal.
"I think I've gone into autopilot now," she added, describing how she was coping with the stress of her son's medical emergency.
Despite the traumatic experience, Davis expressed profound gratitude to the medical professionals who cared for Samuel.
"I just want to say a massive thank you to Whiston hospital, the staff on the high dependency unit and the staff on the ward for looking after our baby boy," she wrote.
She praised the NHS staff as "heroes and angels" who had been "utterly amazing and caring" throughout Samuel's treatment.
Davis also thanked a friend who helped take Samuel to hospital and kept her "as calm as she could" during the emergency.
The actress is now focused on supporting her son through his recovery.
"Now to be there for him these next few days and look forward to getting him home when we can," she shared. (sic)
Besides Samuel, Davis is also mother to seven-year-old Caben from her previous relationship with Jeremy McConnell.
