Big Brother housemates Farida and Kerry have had their fair share of tense encounters so far

Big Brother fans have expressed their anger at the treatment of contestant Farida by her fellow housemates less than one week after the ITV reboot began.

Farida - who sparked controversy earlier this week with her line of questioning to trans housemate Hallie - has found herself up for the first eviction of the series alongside fellow castmate Kerry.

The 50-year-old is the favourite to avoid the first elimination, however, with William Hill making Kerry the odds-on favourite for the boot at 8/11 against Farida's odds of evens.

The Muslim make-up artist's time in the house has been far from plain sailing during the first few days as she's found herself at loggerheads with several housemates - most notably Kerry.

In one instance when Farida discussed her online work in which she shares videos of makeup tips to her fans, Kerry feigned interest before seeming surprised her cast mate was able to garner a fanbase of her own.

Kerry was also heard describing Farida as a "f****** idiot" due to her input during one of the tasks the contestants faced.

Housemates also hid Pot Noodles when they heard Farida wanted one and she also faced backlash from her fellow competitors when she asked for a special tea on the crew's shopping list.

Witnessing the behaviour towards Farida unfold has led a number of disgruntled viewers to accuse the ITV show's stars of "bullying".

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan raged at Kerry's behaviour in particular: "Regardless of who you side with, Kerry pulling faces like that behind Farida's back is straight up bullying. #BBUK."

A second agreed: "I get Farida can be annoying but that is not how you cope with a personality clash. Kerry is being bratty and rude to her. It will be bullying soon. It's bordering on it already. #BBUK."

Meanwhile, a third hit out: "They literally won the shopping task and still won't let her buy a box of teabags, this is borderline bullying at this point #bbuk."

And a fourth blasted: "Kerry is being so rude. It’s too much. You might not like someone, and I find Farida annoying too, but that’s just bullying behaviour. She’s giving medical receptionist #BBUK."

"They need to stop bullying farida i genuinely feel bad #BBUK," a fifth pleaded.

While a sixth echoed: "I can't stand Kerry. She's just nasty. Very aggressive and she's bullying Farida. #BBUK."

However, there has been some defence for the housemates' behaviour, with another viewer arguing: "I see some tweets labelling Hallie and Kerry as bullies which I think is really harsh.

GB News has contacted ITV for comment regarding the behaviour of Big Brother's housemates.

The series as a whole has already been marred in controversy within days of its launch, with some even "switching off" the reboot due to it turning "woke".

GB News' own Nana Akua launched a scathing criticism of the show during a chat with Mark Dolan after the housemates discussed their preferred pronouns less than 24 hours after entering the house.

"It is nonsense," Nana fumed: "I’m hoping when they look at this they realise just how ridiculous this is!

"How about just sticking with your name?! The whole thing is just awful," she added.
