The Loose Women star repeatedly claimed that 'hard work does not get rewarded' in her post-exit interview

Showbiz reporter Stephanie Takyi has criticised Jane Moore's exit from I'm A Celebrity, following what appeared to be a sly dig at her fellow camp mates.

The Loose Women star was the first to be voted out of the jungle on Friday after the public decided for her to leave.

As she departed camp, Moore made a pointed remark that "hard work does not get rewarded" to her co-stars.

Despite the tense exit, Moore expressed that she would cherish the experience and would repeat it "in a heartbeat".

Speaking to GB News, Takyi said: "I think I could have placed bets on Jane being first out," noting that while there had been no major fights this season, Moore had been "a bit of a complainer in the jungle."

Takyi explained that Moore's complaints about camp duties had dominated her time in the jungle.

After a week of tensions in camp, Moore had accused camp leaders Danny Jones and Barry McGuigan of "ageism" and "sexism" regarding chore allocations.

"For the whole week, viewers have just seen her moaning," Takyi told GB News.

"She was complaining about ageism and sexism against Barry McGuigan and Danny Jones because they asked her to do the washing task," Takyi explained.

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:

The showbiz reporter noted that Moore's experience differed from typical contestants who describe it as the time of their lives.

"She basically said it was okay, she said she got a lot out of other people. But I think a lot of people didn't get much out of her, she didn't light up their screens as she does on Loose Women," Takyi added.

Reflecting on Moore's suggestions for who she would like to win the show - Coleen Rooney and Melvin Odoom - Takyi claimed that the remark was a "sly dig" at a particular camp mate who "isn't a hard worker" in camp.

Takyi told host Dawn Neesom: "She wants the people who are working hard in camp to win, such as Coleen and Melvin.

"But I think she was making a sly dig at Dean who has been quite entertaining, crying, shouting, doing the full works. But he's not actually a hard worker.

"So I think in that sense I understand what she's saying. But people are always going to gravitate to the people like Coleen and Dean, who are just interesting to watch."

Agreeing with Takyi, Dawn delivered her verdict on Moore's exit, admitting: "I love Jane to bits - I know her, she's a fellow tabloid columnist, we worked on The Sun together.

"So full disclosure, I think she's wonderful, I really wanted her to win, but I knew that tabloid journalists never win things. But the first thing she did when she came out was like, oh, just goes to show that hard work doesn't pay. And I'm thinking, no, Jane, just say something nice about everybody!"
