Helen Flanagan has hit back at critics who says she shouldn't model lingerie because she's a mother and brutally mum-shamed her in the comments of the post.
The former Coronation Street actress, 34, took to social media on Sunday to address the backlash she received after sharing a clip of herself posing in black lace lingerie with a suspender belt.
She revealed she frequently receives comments telling her she shouldn't be modelling underwear as a mother-of-three - sharing her children Matilda, nine, Delilah, six, and Charlie, three, with her footballer ex-Scott Sinclair.
The couple split in 2022 after thirteen years together, with the star now being in a relationship with Robbie Talbot, who has reportedly been living in her home since last month.
In her post hitting back at trolls, Flanagan donned lace gloves and red lipstick as she addressed the criticism.
"I get a lot of comments on my page saying along the lines of 'you're a mum, you shouldn't be lingerie modelling ect' which I've always done," she wrote.
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS
The star firmly defended her right to continue modelling lingerie despite being a mother and added: "As women, we should support and empower each other and, more importantly, be kind to each other as women."
Flanagan emphasised this was the attitude she wanted to instil in her daughters and concluded her message with: "What Suzie says about Sally says more about Suzie that of Sally."
The post comes after Flanagan has been open about her personal life in recent months.
Speaking openly about her split from Sinclair for the first time last month, Flanagan admitted the pair "weren't right for each other".
Helen went public with her new relationship during New Years
"No, I don't need a man to make me happy, but it really f**king helps when you're in a healthy relationship to a toxic one," she told The Mail's The Life of Bryony podcast.
She described her relationship with Sinclair as "unhealthy" and "toxic", as she admitted: "I mean, I'm on block at the moment on Scott's phone. I really am. We do each other's f**king head in. But I know he always will have a love for me."
The actress explained they got together when they were just 19 and didn't have time to grow as individuals: "We just didn't work," she concluded about their relationship, which ended after thirteen years together.
Flanagan spoke positively about her new relationship with Talbot, who she met at a bar and beamed: "He's lovely. Everybody loves him. My boyfriend's actually the funniest guy I've ever met."
The actress revealed that Talbot has two children of his own and has formed a good relationship with her three children.
"He's really beautiful with my children," she shared.

She went on to credit Talbot's support for her mental health as a key factor in their relationship and said: "I think that's what made me fall more in love with him because he's so good with my mental health things.
"I need someone that's good for me mentally and emotionally; that's my top thing."
