Gregg Wallace calls accusers ‘middle class women of a certain age’ in furious rant

Gregg Wallace has issued a blistering defence on social media this morning after several people have come forward accusing him of inappropriate behaviour.
The 60-year-old former green grocer said the accusations were coming from "a handful of middle class women of a certain age".
The long-serving judge on the cookery programme recorded a selfie video of himself addressing the complaints against him.
Wallace claimed he has worked with over 4,000 contestants "of all different ages, all different backgrounds, all walks of life" in his 20 years on MasterChef.
"Apparently now I'm reading in the paper there's been 13 complaints in that time," he said.
The 60-year-old then claimed the accusations had some from "a handful of middle class women of a certain age just from Celebrity MasterChef."

Wallace stepped-back from his role as a presenter and judge on MasterChef this week after a number of allegations that he made sexual comments towards celebrity guests and show staff emerged.
In a second video posted at the same time, Wallace made a bizarre comparison.
"In 20 years of television, can you imagine how many women, female contestants on MasterChef have made sexual remarks or sexual innuendo?"

Angry, Wallace reiterated: "Can you imagine?!"
The 60-year-old's lawyers have previously said: "It is entirely false that he (Wallace) engages in behaviour of a sexually harassing nature."
However, MasterChef production company Banijay UK has "committed to fully co-operating throughout the process" and called on anyone who has a complaint against Wallace to come forward.
They advise anyone with an issue to speak to legal firm Lewis Silkin, who are heading up the investigation.
A spokesperson assured: "All information will be handled sensitively, and names of those providing evidence to the team will be kept confidential."
