Bake Off contestant John was booted from the competition after a stressful Bread Week

Great British Bake Off presenter was left begging show producers to leave out a specific moment from the edit after he took a brutal swipe at chef Gordon Ramsay – noting he was “scared” of him.

During Tuesday’s episode, the budding bakers walked into the tent for Bread Week, with Paul Hollywood and Prue Leight poised and ready to judge the creations.

As per usual, Fielding and co-star Alison Hammond were walking around the tent and giving the bakers some words of wisdom to help them through their bakes.

Fielding was on hand to crack jokes with the stars, which included praising Dylan for his good looks and being “too handsome”.

Discussing what he wanted to do with his life, Dylan admitted he wanted to be a chef, which left Fielding to joke: “Chefs are always ugly.

“Yeah. You’re too handsome to be a chef. Have you seen Gordon Ramsay? He’s like an omelette with human eyes!”

Sheepishly, he added: “Don’t put that in the show because he’ll beat me up… I am scared of Gordon Ramsay.

Quickly retracting his statement, Fielding complimented: “Actually, he’s got sort of a devil may care pirate sort of sexiness about him.

Fans of the show were quick to pick up on the comment, with one commenting on X: “Noel calling Gordon Ramsay an omelette with eyes is diabolical.”

“Gordon Ramsay is like an omelette with human eyes’ HAHAHA Noel makes #GBBO I swear!” another expressed before a third said: “Get someone that laughs at your jokes the way Dylan laughs at Noel’s.”

The comment regarding Ramsay comes after he previously hinted that there was bad blood between him and the Channel 4 show after saying “no” to a place on the judging panel.

The chef – known for his harsh comments and expletives – turned down Mary Berry’s role as a judge when she left in 2016 and claimed he “didn’t want her sloppy seconds”.

It was a victorious week for some, including Nelly, who became emotional after coming first in the dreaded technical challenge.

She explained she struggled to accept compliments because she was so used to being told she wasn’t good enough and wouldn’t achieve a lot.

Dylan came last in the technical challenge but managed to redeem himself and received the sought-after Hollywood handshake in the showstopper challenge.

Many viewers at home thought that Nelly deserved to be crowned Star Baker this week due to her consistent success – but it was Dyal who walked away with the crown.

Most agreed that Dylan’s bakes and creativity had been impressive, however, many felt that Nelly had been “robbed” of the honour.
