Punam Krishan became the fifth celebrity to be eliminated from the BBC show this weekend
Strictly Come Dancing professional Gorka Marquez has questioned the judges’ comments on Punam Krishan’s dancing hours after the pair were eliminated.
On Saturday night, the couple performed the Tango to Sweet Dreams by Eurythmics and received a score of 26 out of a possible 40.
Over the weeks, the judges have continuously asked Krishan for “more” with her dancing, leaving professional dancer Marquez to hit back at their request.
The couple joined It Takes Two host Fleur East tonight where they discussed their recent performance, leaving Krishan to note: “What I took from the dance was that I can be fierce.
“I brought everything that I had to that dance, it was such a challenge to learn it, but do you know I had so much fun? I lived it out every single week how I wanted to live it out.”
Marquez added: “Generally none of the ballroom dances really are comfortable, the position, especially for the females, is very uncomfortable and very unnatural.

“And then especially when you are put in that position where you say ‘Bend your knees but not too much, stay close but not too close’.
“So those kinds of things are so unnatural, especially to someone who has never danced before, trying to understand and do that in three days is quite a lot of things.”
East touched on the “wanting more” comments from the judges and asked Krishan how hard she found to it implement it into her dances.
She explained: “I think every week it was trying to understand the concepts of more and for that, especially when it came to the dance-off.

“In that moment you really are dancing for your life. You are just like what more can you bring? But I think it is just learning how to carry yourself, bringing that energy.
“I have never come across this before so as a non-performer, as a GP i was like where do I find this energy from?
“It came and you guided me through that every week, I tried my best every week and I took the comments constructively and all you can do is try your best.”
Marquez interjected and slammed: “I feel like in the dance-off, putting myself in the perspective of the judges when I have been in that role, when you say ‘We want more’, more what?
“I need more and you’re like ‘Ok more of what?’ So it’s very confusing.”
Speaking to Tess Daly on Sunday night about her journey, Krishan said: “I am really proud of myself. You know I’ve taken on something that’s so out of my comfort zone.

“The one thing that I’ve very much learnt is to say yes more, and that there is no point in your life when you can stop learning new skills. I’ve learnt more than dancing, I’ve learnt so much from Gorka.
“Everyone’s been so incredible and it’s just memories that I’ll take home forever and I am very proud. I’ve made my family very proud, I’m just really grateful.”
Proud of his partner, Marquez praised: “It's been incredible, it's been a fantastic six weeks. I'm very proud of what she has achieved. She's a GP and a Mum. She had never danced before and I think she improved week by week.
“I think she is truly what the show is about, someone who doesn't have experience in the performance world came here and learnt to dance.
“She wanted to do so well and worked so hard. Also I feel very proud and very honoured that we got to do a Bollywood dance, to represent your culture, show your culture to the world and open doors for so many people in your culture.”
