Gordon Ramsay's renovation at his family's home in London has reportedly encountered an obstacle after almost three years of work at the property.
Ramsay was given the go-ahead back in July 2021 to overhaul the four-bed mansion, with changes including the addition of an en-suite bathroom and a master bedroom the size of an entire floor.
However, the location and significance of the building have made it tricky for the work to be completed.
The latest snag to hit Ramsay is the council's decision to reportedly ban plans for a new set of security gates.
It's believed Ramsay would need to remove a "historic" front boundary wall for the painted timber gates he wants to replace the current steel ones.
However, according to The Sun, the council denied his application and provided a list of reasons as to why.

The publication claims the council told Ramsay that the new structure wouldn’t be in keeping with other properties in the neighbourhood.
The demolition of a "brick patterned" wall "could have some historic significance" with an "impact on a conservation area", The Sun reports.
GB News has contacted Ramsay's representatives for comment.
While this latest development is a blow to Ramsay's plans, he has reportedly been encouraged to apply again.
The publication reported that planning officers told the Hell's Kitchen star to put in a new application.
It's believed this would "warrant further consideration" towards his plans for the gates.
Away from the gates, the Ramsays' mansion has reportedly already undergone quite the transformation since permission was granted almost three years ago.
The house is believed to have an all-new basement complete with a gym, study, wine room, and plenty more amenities.
