An arrest has been made following the death of Gogglebox star George Gilbey, Essex Police has said.
Gilbey died aged 40 following a "work accident", it was reported at the time.
Essex Police has now confirmed, via PA, that a "man in his 40s has been arrested on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter in connection with the death of Gogglebox star George Gilbey who died after a fall at work".
Tributes from far and wide have flooded in for the Channel 4 star in the day since his death was announced.
Mourners also laid flowers outside EGL Homecare in Shoeburyness, Essex where the incident occurred.
Essex Police said on Wednesday that they were called to an incident in Southend-on-Sea after being alerted that a man had died after falling from a height.

Gogglebox issued a statement of its own in tribute to Gilbey after he'd starred on the show for eight series.
It read: "George was part of the Gogglebox family for eight series alongside his mum Linda and step-dad Pete.
"Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Linda, and George’s family and friends at this very sad time. The family have asked for privacy."
After the show shared the statement on its Instagram page, several of Gilbey's fellow Gogglebox colleagues shared their messages of condolence.

Stephen Lustig-Webb replied to the statement: "Very sad, sending our love to Linda and family."
Simon Minty echoed: "So sorry to hear this. I really enjoyed watching George. Condolences to Linda and family."
Elsewhere, Vivien Woerdenweber also commented: "So sorry to hear this. Such a lovely family who gave many magical moments on C4 Gogglebox.
"Our deepest condolences to George’s family who must be devastated. Such a sad loss. RIP George."
