The star was left devastated with the result of her second week of skating
Former Towie star Ferne McCann suffered an emotional meltdown backstage after being eliminated from Dancing on Ice on Sunday night.
Show sources revealed the 34-year-old "cried hysterically" after becoming the second celebrity to leave the competition.
The reality star was reportedly "humiliated" by her exit and cut short her farewell lap of honour, hiding her face from the crowd.
"She had a meltdown in front of everyone after coming off the ice backstage", an insider told The Sun.
According to sources, McCann struggled to comprehend her elimination despite her substantial social media presence.
"Ferne kept saying this doesn't make sense and it wasn't meant to be like this", the insider revealed.

"She couldn't understand how she didn't get the votes - despite having the most followers online".
The situation was reportedly made worse by her costume choice for movie week, with sources saying she felt particularly humiliated about being voted off while dressed as a DreamWorks' Troll character.
McCann's distress was visible during the live show as she told hosts Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern: "I'm so gutted, so gutted, but... it is what it is. We were having so much fun, I'm really sad..."
Holly responded sympathetically: "Oh Ferne I can see you're upset. Listen, you've got everything to feel proud of."

Sources say McCann tried to maintain composure for her seven-year-old daughter Sunday, who was in the audience.
"She was so upset and was trying to be strong for her daughter Sunday," an insider revealed.
Breaking her silence on Instagram the following morning, McCann shared a heartfelt message with her followers while still sporting her pink Trolls-inspired hair.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you," she wrote alongside a pink heart emoji.
The reality star admitted she would need "serious scrubbing" to remove the bright pink dye, but expressed joy about performing as Princess Poppy.
"I had an absolute blast, Dancing on Ice has just been such an amazing experience and I feel so proud that we ended on a high," she said.
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS
The elimination came under a new format change announced by Holly Willoughby, with no skate-off to save contestants.
Reports suggest McCann was "let down" by some of her celebrity friends who failed to support her on social media.
"Her closest friends didn't even post the ITV number to save her or encourage their fans to vote," a source told The Sun.
