Fern Britton has been accused of “game playing” in Celebrity Big Brother, but former Strictly Come Dancing star James Jordan has jumped to her defence.
The former This Morning star frequently gets emotional in the diary room as she chats with Big Brother, which has led some fans to believe she’s turning on the tears for the cameras.
She was also given a tricky task this week after being asked to pick a housemate to be evicted. Big Brother requested the 66-year-old secretly place a snake on the selected person’s bed so they could be eliminated from the house.
Britton decided to leave the snake on Louis Walsh’s bed, but when the housemates stumbled upon it, the former X Factor judge was asked to head to the diary room.
It then became clear Big Brother had misled Britton, with the snake instead granting Walsh immunity from the next eviction, meaning he would immediately go through to the final - a twist which sparked a fix row from angry viewers.
Just to make things more awkward, Walsh was also informed about Britton’s decision to evict him from the house.

Former Strictly professional Jordan, 45, quickly complained that Big Brother had “thrown Fern under the bus”.
Taking to X, where he often shares his strong opinions on TV shows among other things, he penned: “Big Brother threw Fern under the bus asking her to put the snake in someone’s bed.
“Especially because everyone knows apart from Louis. In my opinion that was a poor game played by BB Fern is lovely.”
He continued to fight in the presenter's corner as other viewers criticised her, responding directly to comments on the social media site.

One person posted: “She’s game playing crying in diary room every night," which several other fans agreed with.
Retweeting the complaint, Jordan reacted with a new post, writing: “And yet she still doesn’t cry anywhere near as much as any of the boys BUT they are not playing a game???”
The choreographer controversially took aim at housemate and current Strictly pro Nikita Kuzmin for getting emotional during a tense moment on the show recently.
It came as the housemates were recently forced to name who they think should be evicted in front of each other, a move which led to plenty of drama and the double eviction of Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu's and Levi Roots.

Kuzmin, 26, clearly felt guilty as he picked Walsh, and as he was justifying himself, the 71-year-old snapped: "Stop crying for God's sake."
Jordan seemed to share Walsh's sentiments, posting on X: "Why is Nikita crying??? Worlds gone soft!!! Fact!” (sic)
The harsh comment saw plenty of fans defending Kuzmin and urging Jordan not to shame men for being emotional.
