Former radio DJ Fearne Cotton is embracing a "new era" following her shock split from musician Jesse Wood after a decade of marriage.
The 43-year-old TV personality, who announced her separation in December, has expressed excitement about her future
"I feel really excited about what's coming next," said Cotton, who shares two children with Wood: 11-year-old son Rex and eight-year-old daughter Honey.
"If I'm back-to-back recording or I'm on a writing deadline, if I can get an hour's walk at some point in the day where I just listen to really beautiful music, it makes me feel really happy," she shared.
Cotton was speaking on her Happy Place podcast with the wellness brand Ancient + Brave, who she is now collaborating with.
The 43-year-old presenter is also making a conscious effort to incorporate more spontaneity into her schedule.

"What I'm trying to do now is go 'no', I need to schedule in a bit of fun and let loose a little bit," Cotton explained, noting that finding balance had become crucial after previously maintaining an overly rigid schedule.
Cotton has revealed her comprehensive approach to personal wellbeing, which included "moving my body when I can".
"It doesn't have to be anything wild. Actually it's getting less and less wild as I get older," she explained.
Her wellness toolkit includes a variety of activities, from creative pursuits to mental health support.

"Walking, painting, seeing friends, having a laugh, and therapy – therapy has changed my life," the TV star shared.
With her children now older, Cotton views this period as an opportunity for personal growth and renewed focus on self-care.
Cotton and Wood's relationship began in 2011 after meeting in Ibiza, the same year Wood separated from his first wife, Tilly.
The couple married in 2014 following three years of dating, with Cotton becoming stepmother to Wood's older children, Arthur, 22, and Lola, 19.
In December, Cotton announced their separation via social media, stating: "It is with a heavy heart that I let you all know that Jesse and I are ending our marriage."
She emphasised their continued focus on their children, writing: "Our priority has been and always will be our children. We please ask that you respect the privacy of our family at this time."

Following the announcement, Cotton explained on her podcast that "I don't want to feel depleted and stressed out and not be able to be present in my family home."
At the time, she pledged to "grow and expand myself in many ways".
She told fans: "I'm feeling positive about it all and will take the opportunity to rest and slow right down."
