Alan Plummer, the husband of late Australian TV presenter Erin Jayne Plummer, has died suddenly at the age of 49, just two years after his wife's suicide.
Plummer was found dead at the family's home in Freshwater, Sydney, on Saturday, leaving the couple's three daughters orphaned.
The incident is being described as a suspected self-harm case by sources familiar with the situation, coming in the wake of his wife's death in May 2022.
Plummer, who was the former director of a now-defunct company called Shine VIP Tours Australia PTY LTD, had recently sold the family's four-bedroom home which they had owned for more than two decades.
His death marks another devastating chapter for the family, following the loss of his wife who was a well-known presenter on Studio 10 and Aerobics Oz Style.
A New South Wales Police spokesperson confirmed: "Officers from Northern Beaches Police Area Command will prepare a report for the information of the Coroner regarding the death of a 49-year-old man at Freshwater on Saturday."
