The GB News presenter has issued a statement following the death of Sir Michael Parkinson
Sir Michael Parkinson's family confirmed the legendary TV presenter had died at the age of 88 on Thursday.
Since the news broke, a number of friends, colleagues, and fans have penned tributes to the iconic broadcaster and now GB News presenter Eamonn Holmes has followed suit.
Taking to Instagram, Holmes shared a snap of himself alongside Parkinson as they smiled for the camera.
Paying tribute to Parkinson, Holmes penned: "Another of The Greats gone.
"Was lucky enough to be on his show as a guest, observe, learn from him, socialise and even do a Grocery shop with him...
"But that's another Story for another day. They don't make them like Parky any more ! #RIP King of The Chat Show hosts."

Holmes' Breakfast co-host Isabel Webster echoed his sentiment as she replied to the tribute: "A class act. You’re right - nobody else like him. Terribly sad."
While one of Holmes' followers weighed in: "So sad to hear this, he always struck me as a lovely man, loved watching him back in the day. Not many people can be called legends but he was an ultimate."
A second agreed: "Oh no, how sad. Definitely one of the greats - his chat show was a must watch."
And a third commented: "Loved his show, so down to earth and had the best guests talking real talk and not always promoting something. RIP Michael Parkinson." (Sic)
Parkinson's death came following a "brief illness" his family confirmed in a statement.
The TV presenter had received treatment for prostate cancer back in 2013 but was given the all-clear two years later.
The family's statement read: "After a brief illness Sir Michael Parkinson passed away peacefully at home last night in the company of his family.
"The family request that they are given privacy and time to grieve."
