The pair's feud first began back in March 2024 when Kendrick Lamar took aim at Drake in a feature song with Future

Drake has subtly responded to Kendrick Lamar's Super Bowl halftime performance by liking an Instagram post that questioned the authenticity of crowd sounds during the show.

The Canadian rapper, currently on tour in Australia, made his feelings known after Kendrick performed Not Like Us, a diss track aimed at Drake, during Sunday's game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs.

Kendrick's performance made history as the most-watched Super Bowl halftime act of all time.

During his set, Lamar performed a portion of Not Like Us, with the crowd enthusiastically singing along to the lyrics "A-Minor".

At one point, Kendrick looked directly into the camera while rapping "Say Drake, I heard you like 'em young".

The performance featured tennis champion and Drake's ex Serena Williams making an appearance on stage to crip walk to the sound of Lamar's diss track.

Drake's response came through liking a video shared by streamer Kai Cenat on Rap Card, who questioned the authenticity of crowd reactions during the performance.

"Okay, they added sound effects to this NFL... On my life there was no sounds. F***, they add crowd effects? I did not know that," claimed Cenat, who attended the game.

Fans quickly noticed Drake's interaction with the post, with one commenting: "Drake so messy for liking this."

"Liked by Drake is amazingly wild," another fan wrote.

During the performance, Lamar made reference to Drake's ongoing lawsuit over the song.

"I wanna perform their favourite song but you know they love to sue," Lamar said between tracks, before adding: "Yeah that song, oh maybe I'll think about it."

The performance notably omitted one controversial lyric from the recorded version of Not Like Us, where Lamar calls Drake a "certified paedophile".

The inclusion of Williams, Drake's former girlfriend, was seen as an additional dig at the Canadian rapper.

The subtle social media interaction has sparked significant discussion among fans, with many commenting on Drake's indirect approach to addressing the performance.

While Drake has maintained a public silence about the halftime show, his Instagram activity suggests his awareness of the controversy surrounding the performance.

The interaction marks the latest development in the ongoing tension between the two artists, highlighted by Lamar's choice to perform Not Like Us on one of music's biggest stages.

The show had an unprecedented 133.5 million viewers between 8:30-8:45pm, making it the most-watched Super Bowl halftime show ever.
