The Canadian actor died after battling a long illness
Hunger Games star Donald Sutherland has died at the age of 88.
Sutherland, whose career stretched from the 1970s to the 2020s, was considered one of the greatest actors to never have received an Academy Award nomination.
However, the Canadian actor received an honourary statutte in 2017.
Sutherland emerged as an actor in the 1960s and later starred in Klute, MASH, Don’t Look Now and Animal House.

The 88-year-old's son Kiefer Sutherland confirmed his death in a statement.
The statement said: "With a heavy heart, I tell you that my father, Donald Sutherland, has passed away.
"I personally think one of the most important actors in the history of film.
"Never daunted by a role, good, bad or ugly.
With a heavy heart, I tell you that my father, Donald Sutherland, has passed away. I personally think one of the most important actors in the history of film. "He loved what he did and did what he loved, and one can never ask for more than that. A life well lived."
A statement from the CAA group added: "Acclaimed actor Donald Sutherland died today in Miami, Florida, after a long illness. He was 88 years old."
Sutherland has almost 200 credits to his name, including The Dirty Dozen.
His breakout role was as Hawkeye Pierce during Korean War comedy MASH.

Other credits include The Undoing, Trust, Dirty Sexy Money, and The Pillars of the Earth.
He was born in New Brunswick, Canada, and started his career as a radio news reporter.
Sutherland left Canada to travel to London in 1957.
He took a number of small roles after studying at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.
