Dick Strawbridge's eldest son sent a sweet gesture to his father on Sunday - Father's Day - after not being able to be there in person to celebrate.
Strawbridge and Weiner had two children during their marriage - James, 40, and Charlotte, 38 - before the couple split in 2010 and went their separate ways.
Just five years later, Strawbridge was married to Angel Adoree and they now have two children of their own - Arthur, 11, and Dorothy, 10.
Celebrating Father's Day yesterday, the Escape to the Chateau star penned his eldest son's instructions on Instagram alongside two images.
"It was a relaxing morning today… instructions to kiss ‘daddy’ from James and Charlotte…A leisurely stroll around vide grenier (car boot) and now we’re getting ready to watch the last in the series of Dick and Angel’s Secret France!
"And tonight we are in the Auvergne, slightly earlier than last week, at 7pm on Channel 4! Happy Father’s Day," the Strawbridges penned.
The 40-year-old posted his own tribute to his father which read: "I hope you’ve had a great Father’s Day @strawbridge.dick and all the dads out there! Massively grateful to my wife and children for the most amazing day. Bring on Monday." (sic)
Strawbridge and Adoree recently gave an insight into the relationship between their sons on their podcast - Dick & Angel... Chat-eu.
Strawbridge pointed out how his two sons helped him with a task, to which Adoree remarked: "I've got to say it was proper melt-your-heart moments watching the three of you work together."
She continued: "You work really, really well together, and Arthur has always looked up to his big brother, James. And I remember I came in and Arthur's just sitting on the stool and James is just really, really engaged and listening to all of Arthur's ideas.
James didn't join his father for the national day
"Because your first answer to everything in life is 'no,' that's what you do, and James, he's 'yes, let's put as many ingredients in everything as possible.'
"And you're there going, 'Right guys we've got to do these for 120 people let's maybe not add that final ingredient'."
"I had my two sons sorting how they'd make the black garlic mayonnaise to go with and each dish had a dot of mayonnaise but without that, they wouldn't have been happy," Strawbridge reflected.
During the beginning of Adoree and Strawbridge's relationship, the long distance became too much for the former army officer who suggested they call time on their romance.
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS
Angel and Dick got married in 2015, five years after his split from his first wife
Adoree however was determined to make their relationship work, with Strawbridge telling the Times: "My children were all grown-up and the sensible thing would have been for her to find somebody else, but she said she wanted me.
"That was the acknowledgement we were going to have a family. And soon. Angela gave me a calendar with 'Impregnate me by this date' written on it. [And] being efficient as we are, we were seven months ahead of our target having Arthur and Dorothy."
