Escape to the Chateau’s Dick Strawbridge and Angel Adoree have given their fans an insight into their next career move after saying goodbye to their Channel 4 series.
In 2014, Strawbridge and Adoree purchased Chateau de la Motte Husson and embarked on an extraordinary adventure of renovating it and filming their progress along the way.
After fans followed along with their progress for nine series, the pair called time on filming back in 2023 - after locking horns with the show's production company - and focused on their Dare To Do It Tour.
Speaking about their excitement last year, the pair explained: “We are so excited for our family adventure to the US and Canada.
“It’s such an honour for us to finally meet fans of Escape To The Chateau across the pond, and we can’t wait to give our audience a deeper insight into our lives and who we are. We’re looking forward to having lots of fun on our exciting whistle-stop tour!”
The evening will consist of audiences learning who the couple is, where they come from, how they met, and why they “dared to do it”, along with stories, games and craft tips from them both.
The Channel 4 series also watched their two children grow up
Now, after landing in America, the couple recently posted on the official Escape to the Chateau Instagram account and revealed their latest career venture was underway.
“And so it begins," the caption read alongside a snap of the family Stateside. "After months of planning and excitement we are finally here in California for the start of our Dare to Do It tour!
“We are having a little family road trip before everyone meets up and Santa Barbara is destination No.1. It’s truly like a postcard.
“Have a Terrific Tuesday and can’t wait to see you all soon! Dick & Angel.”
Fans of the couple were quick to share their excitement as one follower commented: “Omg so pleased to see you all looking so happy.”
“WELCOME TO CALI!! HOPE YOU LOVE LOS ANGELES TOO!” another exclaimed before a third added: “Looking forward to seeing you all on the 24th, it’ll be an amazing evening of laughs I’m sure!” (sic)
The shows cancellation and final episode was overshadowed by an independent investigation into Strawbridge and Adoree’s conduct following reports of the pair clashing with the production company Two Rivers Media.
Since then, Channel 4 confirmed it had cut ties with the couple, leaving Adoree to recently make a thinly veiled dig at the show.

The two also have their own podcast, which Strawbridge has spoken about publicly and said: “We talk about the week, and stuff off the back of that... with that simple structure we can go anywhere. And we can say what we want.
"We would spend a year making television and that would come out in eight hours, whereas every week we chat for an hour about things that are happening."
Making a dig at the differences between the show and the podcast, Adoree jumped in: “Not that Escape wasn't (authentic), but you're only going to get the juiciest bit of everything.
“A lot of it hit the (cutting room) floor... The podcast is very personal," she told HELLO! Magazine.
