Dick Strawbridge revealed he had to have an important conversation with his two children after realising they knew nothing about technology.
Strawbridge and Angel Adoree’s two children – Arthur, 11, and Dorothy, 10 – are often seen throughout their social media posts, their former Channel 4 series and even accompanied them to America for their Dare To Do It tour.
Despite the parents taking their children out of school caused some controversy, it came with a few life lessons for the pre-teens.
During a recent episode of their podcast – Dick & Angel’s… Chat-Eau – the pair discussed the ever-changing world of technology and how their children “expect everything”.
Strawbridge explained: “When you talk about things taking ages to download, when we arrived in France we had copper cables coming down the centre and under the driveway, through the house.
“Our [mobile] data was zero, we had nothing. It was so bad and the 3G wasn’t particularly impressive, 3G, was only 10 years ago and then the change of having the fibre and the connectivity.
“But everybody expects it, Arthur and Dorothy just expect their phones to download anything they want whenever they want and that was interesting.
“We had a conversation yesterday in the car with Arthur about the difference between being connected to wifi or being connected to the whole structure or being on a telephone.
“Teenage challenges. When we were in North America we were very aware of data usage and connecting to hubs and WIFI. Trying to explain that to children, things have changed so much.”
The heartfelt moment came moments before Strawbridge revealed he had been having some health issues and had to try a new form of health remedy.

Noting the pair had barely seen one another since they returned from America, Strawbridge revealed: “This week I went for my first-ever acupuncture.
“I went for my first treatment because my knee has been giving me some grief. I went along and got pins stuck in me.
“It was interesting. When you have had 20 years in the army, when you lie down and do nothing, and nothing’s happening you sleep.
“I very nearly nodded off except every time I went to move the pins, I had about 20 pins in my in various places and so I thought, ‘Oh I can’t roll over or move too much because I am sure they aren’t supposed to stick out the other side of your leg or your arm’.”

“There is something quite special about it, it is complimentary, there is nothing simple about it.
“But we forgot more than we remember and I think feet, knees, thighs, arms and hands, the web in between the thumb and your finger, if you squeeze it, it gets rid of your headaches.”
