Dick Strawbridge and Angel Adoree have provided a rare insight into their decision to leave the UK behind them for a new life in France.
The duo upped sticks with their two young children Arthur and Dorothy after buying Château de la Motte-Husson in 2015 and spent years renovating the formerly derelict property.
For nine seasons, Escape to the Chateau fans got to witness firsthand how the husband and wife duo restored the chateau to its former glory as well as see how their children adapted to life growing up outside the UK.
Now, speaking on the latest episode of their podcast, Dick & Angel's Chat...Eau, the pair have explained exactly what it was that sparked the idea to leave Britain behind them.
The revelation came during their discussion about one of their favourite films, A Good Year starring Russell Crowe.
"That was sort of the start of our dream," Adoree said during the podcast as she went on to explain that her two children had finally watched the film with their parents.

"It was a very special film for us," Strawbridge added before Adoree explained: "It's about a city worker, who is Russell Crowe, who inherits a chateau... he categorically says he's become an a**ehole.
"That's his whole thing, he's become a not very nice person, (whereas) his uncle was a winemaker with a dream."
She went on to delve into the significance of the movie: "The reason it's important to us, we watched it... and we really resonated with this film.
"Because we just felt that our lives were so busy and crazy and we love France.
"At the end of it, we were literally looking at each other saying, 'I think we should move to France'.
"It was the film (that was) the catalyst for our move," Adoree added during the podcast.
While they may no longer call the UK home, Escape to the Chateau fans in Blighty will get a chance to see the couple later this year.
Adoree and Strawbridge announced back in March they'd be making a brief return to England as part of a new work commitment alongside TV chef James Martin.
The former Channel 4 presenting duo will be acting as hosts at The Game Fair's VIP enclosure at the end of July.
Taking place at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire, the two penned a joint post on their Instagram page to share the news.
