The couple shared a decision about their podcast

Escape to the Chateau couple Dick and Angel Strawbridge have updated fans with some news about their future plans.

The couple, 64 and 46, may not have their Channel 4 series anymore, but they have been keeping fans in the loop in the years since with their podcast, Dick and Angel's Chat... Eau.

The husband and wife team like to fill people in on their life with their two children Arthur and Dorothy as well as the Chateau.

In their latest episode, the pair discussed their son's recent milestone as he left primary school.

Adoree admitted she had been in tears over the special occasion. However, the family have many plans to wind down for the summer, which brought the couple to their big news.

Explaining they would be taking a break from their podcast in order to enjoy some family time, Adoree announced: "This is the end of an era and the next time we chat to you we're gonna have had our boom [in bookings], and we're also going to have had our little summer holiday."

She continued: "We're off to Italy virtually the next day and then we're going to have a little break this summer."

However, she assured fans they would be back soon, adding: "We will be back early September and we will let you know.

"So, after this podcast, there'll be one more before we really put our feet up and enjoy our summer."

The penultimate episode also saw the couple changing the format slightly by answering some questions from fans.

One asked if they had ever had to deal with "mischievous" or overly drunk guests at their wedding business in the French chateau.

"We are in event season at the moment. I've got to say out of all the events we've ever done, we must've done 50 weddings, we have never particularly had anyone who has been mischievous," Adoree replied.

Her husband added: "There are people having a good time, sometimes weddings can be a sort of tinder box of emotions.

"Actually, our weddings, the people we've had here, are just people enjoying themselves. We've had some people who have had a nap between the actual meal, the digestives and the dancing, we've lost a groom."

"Has anyone ever had too many gins and tonics? Absolutely. That's part of our job isn't it, making sure everyone has a nice little tipple," Adoree confessed.

In another recent podcast interview, the couple admitted they had concerns about their two children and the impact their unique lifestyle has after they confirmed another tour.

Speaking to Virgin Radio, Adoree announced: "We just found out that both the children can come with us for the whole tour, literally seconds ago!"

However, the news sparked concern among the parents as Strawbridge admitted: "Arthur is now starting college in September, big school, and we were a little bit concerned because he hasn't even started yet."

Elaborating on their children's unique lifestyle, he added: "We've never had any problems with Dorothy and Arthur while they've been at primary school because the headmistress there always says, 'It's education, take them away, they will learn so much from travelling around the place!'"

The 64-year-old admitted, however: "We were worried about senior school but he said yes, go for it!"
