Death in Paradise fans have slammed the BBC series and made it known they were severely unimpressed with the latest installment of the new series.
After a delayed start, loyal viewers were thrilled to see Detective Neville Parker (played by Ralf Little) back on their screens – but were quickly left let down.
Last week, viewers were left up in arms after the show killed off legendary actress Hayley Mills, who was guest starring in the show, just minutes into the episodes.
Mills starred as Nancy Martin who was a nursing home resident and enjoying a visit from her cousin Eloise (Juliet Cowan), who was from the UK.
After storming away from a bingo match she had lost to her biggest enemy, Barbara (Ellie Haddington), the cameras soon cut to Nancy alone on a bench dead, after being stabbed with her own knitting needle.
Since then, the BBC series hasn’t been able to redeem itself in the eyes of its viewers as they began to complain about “rushed and boring” elements of the show – threatening to switch off.

Last night’s episode saw a famous chef being poisoned at the grand opening of his latest hotel, with the team being left confounded when they realised that the victim hadn’t consumed anything that day.
Catherine Bordey (Elizabeth Bourgine) found herself entangled in the case when an old friend became the murder suspect, but this didn’t seem enough for fans watching at home.
Hitting out at the episode, one angry X user fumed: “Love Death in Paradise but not feeling it with these first 2 episodes. Feels like there is something missing.”
Another added: “I agree. I think the plots are okay, but the characters got less colourful and the background stories became a bit boring. No little quirks anymore. I'm still hanging in there but I wish they brought back the fun into the show somehow.”

“This season does feel as though something is missing. Miss the fun and uplifting mood that was once felt amongst the gang. Feel as though this gang is not as united as previous groups.
“They used to attend festivals together or participate in the Island traditions. Even as simple as hanging out together at the shack, drinking, eating, or just having a good time,” a third added.
Another commented: “Love this programme!! But these first two episodes seem a bit rushed.. & there’s no vibe to the episode as there were in previous ones.”
One fan even expressed their final straw to the BBC and gave them tips on what they needed to do in order to keep their fans coming back.

Death in Paradise fans thought Florence Cassell could be returning

“It’s so dull I can’t even watch it. Please bring back the old cast. Bring them back!” they pleaded. (sic)
After complaining about the show, fans went on to theorise who they thought was Parker’s secret admirer after he started a blog about his life as a British detective on the island of Saint Marie.
Working under the username Sunset Chaser, and having a flirty tone to their comments, many thought it could be Florence Cassell (Josephine Jobert) who left the show during season 11 – is she finally making her return?
