The presenter has shared several candid updates about her thoughts on life since her diagnosis last year

Davina McCall is reportedly planning to travel the world with her partner Michael Douglas following her recovery from a brain tumour, rather than rushing into marriage.

The 57-year-old TV presenter, who recently received the all-clear after surgery to remove a benign brain tumour, is said to be "besotted" with her hairdresser boyfriend.

However, the former Big Brother host is focusing on adventure rather than another trip down the aisle.

McCall was diagnosed with a colloid cyst in November last year after a routine health check discovered the rare benign tumour.

She underwent a six-hour operation on November 15 to remove the 14mm growth from her brain.

Earlier this month, the presenter revealed she had received the all-clear following her final MRI scan, confirming the tumour had been completely removed and would not return.

McCall has been friends with celebrity hairdresser Douglas, 50, for two decades before they began dating in 2019.

Their relationship started after she finalised her divorce from ex-husband Matthew Robertson in April 2018, with whom she shares three children - Holly, Chester, and Tilly.

The couple have been together for six years, supporting each other through life's challenges including Davina's recent health scare.

A friend of Davina told The Sun: "Davina is besotted with Michael and so naturally we're all wondering when they'll get married and what's next for them.

"But Davina isn't focused on getting married to Michael. She doesn't want to get married right now. Instead, she wants to travel the world and have some amazing adventures with him."

The source added that nature is one of Davina's favourite things, suggesting she might be planning "some amazing road trip with Michael".

"Michael is very easy company. With him she can be exactly who she is. So going travelling will be easy for them because they get on so well," the friend continued.

Taking to Instagram earlier this month, McCall shared a video with Douglas where she revealed her final MRI results.

The presenter also posted before and after scan images showing the tumour had completely disappeared from her brain.

"I am so so grateful," she wrote, adding that the tumour is "not coming back."

In the Instagram video, McCall explained she had been "nervous" about the scan results, fearing any remaining tumour would grow back.

A colloid cyst is a slow-growing tumour typically found near the centre of the brain, containing gelatinous material.

Last month, McCall broke down in tears during Comic Relief as she reflected on her surgery.

"This whole experience made me really think deeply about what life is really about and what matters when life gets tough," she said emotionally.

She added: "I needed the brilliance and the skills of lots of experts to make me okay. And oh my goodness, I've needed the love and support of friends and my family, and in particular, my Michael to get me through."

McCall was previously married to Andrew Leggett from 1997 to 1999, before her marriage to Robertson.

In January, Douglas revealed the couple are "independent people" who don't feel pressured to marry.

"We're not tied to each other and that's what keeps us there in a way," he said.
