Friends star and TV legend David Schwimmer has slammed rapper and fashion mogul Kanye West in a social media tirade.
The 58-year-old actor called on X owner Elon Musk and others to “remove and ban” West from social media platforms.
Schwimmer’s demand follows a saga of drama from West, beginning with a widely condemned red carpet stunt that saw him pose with his nude wife, Bianca Censori.

The bizarre and offensive posts took aim at Jewish people, gay people. domestic abuse victims and people others in the music industry.
In his rants, West obscenely declared "IM A NAZI," and: "I LOVE HITLER NOW WHAT B*****."

Some of his posts were quickly hidden behind a warning that they had breached X’s “rules against hateful conduct”.
West’s offensive remarks have drawn a huge wave of criticism, with Schwimmer now joining growing calls for him to be removed from social media platforms.
“This is so 2022,” the actor began sombrely in his Instagram post.
“We can’t stop a deranged bigot from spewing hate filled, ignorant bile… but we CAN stop giving him a megaphone, Mr. Musk,” he declared, calling out the X owner.

Schwimmer pointed out that West has a massive 32.7 million followers on Musk’s platform.
Soberly, he reminded Musk and fans that that figure was “twice as many people than the number of Jews in existence”.
“His sick hate speech results in REAL LIFE violence against Jews,” Schwimmer warned.
Alongside his post, the actor added stark images of white text on a black background quoting some of West’s most offensive recent remarks.
Schwimmer called out West “identifying as a Nazi” as implying “he wants to exterminate ALL marginalised communities including his own”.
He also blasted there not being “sufficient OUTRAGE to remove and ban him from all social media at this point”.

The 58-year-old concluded his post with a chilling: “Silence is complicity.”
Self-proclaimed “free speech absolutist” Musk has yet to comment directly on West’s latest outbursts.
