Since the weekend, Jones has faced the wrath of fans after he seemingly shared a drunken kiss with his former Love Island star Higgins, 34.
The moment came at the Brit Awards afterparty, with the two having formed a friendship after taking part in last year's series of the ITV reality show I'm A Celebrity, which Jones went on to win.
One onlooker recalled to The Sun: "Danny and Maura seemed to be having a great time. They looked like they had a brief drunken kiss."
"Danny and Maura seem to have a close friendship after meeting in the jungle. They were talking and laughing for ages," they continued.
It's understood the pair sat at different tables during the Brits ceremony, with Jones initially spending his evening with McFly bandmate Tom Fletcher before Higgins walked over.
Onlookers also said the duo spent 90 minutes together, with one adding: "Danny appeared to be giving Maura advice and at one point he put his arm around her shoulder."
Jones has been married to Georgia Horsley since 2014, and the two share a six-year-old son, Cooper Alf Jones.
While neither party has commented on the reports, Jones's fans have taken to his social media accounts to slam his alleged actions.
GB News has contacted Jones and Higgins's representation over the reports.
Jones and Higgins took part in the celebrity reality show last year, with the pair forming a close friendship.
Higgins was recently linked to Strictly Come Dancing star Pete Wicks, with a source confirming last month the two had "called off their romance".
“There have been a few clashes, and it was eventually agreed they were better off as friends," they told Mail Online.

The insider added: "Those closest to them know it's been a very on-and-off relationship, which is why they were so resistant to go public in the first place.
"They remain close and share a deep connection."
Things seemed to have turned sour for the pair after she made a dig about their time together and claimed Wicks had cheated.
Following the Brits "kiss," fans have accused Higgins of hypocrisy over the remark.
