The A Place in the Sun star has opened up about her journey with starting a family

A Place in the Sun presenter Danni Menzies has successfully completed her first round of egg freezing, preserving 10 eggs for her future family plans - leaving fans to flood her with praise.

The 37-year-old TV host has been open with fans about her fertility journey, which she first shared in December.

Menzies underwent the procedure after several months of treatment, marking a significant milestone in her personal journey.

The presenter took to Instagram to share the news with her followers, expressing relief at reaching this important stage in her fertility preservation process.

"I'm very happy to be across the finish line (for now)," Menzies wrote on her Instagram account.

The TV presenter highlighted the significant financial commitment involved in the process.

She explained: "The NHS may cover the cost in some cases (not many,) but for most women, it's a private expense, typically ranging from £3,000 to £5,000 per cycle."

"It's a lot, and I do wish there was more help out there for this," she added.

Although the procedure is a substantial investment for those looking to preserve their fertility options, it has helped thousands across the world reach the end goal of starting a family.

In her social media post, Menzies discussed how fertility benefits are becoming more common in the United States.

"Friends in the U.S were telling me that it's become more common there for companies to offer fertility benefits," she shared.

After being stunned by the revelation that some companies off this to those in need, she added that she hoped that UK companies would follow in their footsteps eventually.

She noted: "I think that's something that hopefully will start happening here, so women who want to focus on their careers don't have to sacrifice future family planning."

"The world has developed in a way that often doesn't suit our biological timelines and options are always good right?" she added.

Looking ahead, Menzies indicated she may undergo another round of egg freezing but will take a break to get back to the things she loves first.

"I may come back and do another round later, they recommend getting 20! But for now I'm ready to get back to it," she shared.
