Daley Thompson has received a glowing endorsement from his ex-partner Sharron Davies after sparking quite the negative reaction from some Celebrity Big Brother fans.
The 66-year-old entered the famous house on Monday night alongside the likes of Michael Fabricant, Mickey Rourke, and JoJo Siwa, but it's his interactions with drag queen Danny Beard that have garnered attention.
Beard, 32, confided in housemate Donna Preston and with Big Brother himself that they were feeling a slight animosity from Thompson within the house.
Thompson had remarked that "not everything is about" Beard when the drag performer mistakenly thought Rourke was talking to them during launch night.

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
Beard also claimed Thompson had been staring at them during the evening, in which they were decked in their drag ensemble, and admitted to Big Brother that "masculine men" intimidate them.
The clash with Beard prompted some CBB fans to call for Thompson's eviction from the show, and these calls were heightened further when sleuths did a deep dive into his X history.
Old tweets published by Thompson resurfaced that appeared to endorse and support outspoken biological women's rights advocate and Harry Potter author JK Rowling.
Critics have also slammed Thompson for his vocal opposition to transgender athletes competing in single-sex sports, a view similarly held by his ex, Davies.

Now a few days into the new series, Davies has waded into the furore surrounding Thompson's inclusion in the show and shown her support for the former Olympian.
On Wednesday, Davies - who dated Thompson in the 1970s - reposted a fan's post, which included an image of herself and Thompson alongside the caption: "The wonderful man that is @Daley_thompson #CBBUK."
Davies also reposted a supporter's statement hitting back at the cancellation calls Thompson has faced in the CBB house.
The reposted tweet read: "Cancellation culture definitely doesn't exist...These people are so ridiculous they make my teeth itch."
JK, if I maybe so familiar, I do wonder why you give them the oxygen they are so desperate for but I am so so glad you do. It’s a kick in the balls every time.

The "cancellation culture" post was posted by a supporter in response to a TV fan account that shared an image of Thompson wearing a t-shirt endorsing "Real Women's Day" along with two Xs to symbolise female chromosomes.
The TV fan account had condemned Thompson in the caption: "For Christ’s sake. Can we all speak Daley’s eviction into existence this week like we did the spoon guy on last years Big Brother? Get. Him. Out. #CBBUK." (sic)
Thompson isn't the only CBB star to find themselves in hot water with viewers since the show began earlier this week.
Housemate Rourke received a formal warning from show bosses during Wednesday's episode following homophobic remarks towards the aforementioned Siwa.

Siwa was left in tears when Rourke joked he'd be "voting the lesbian out" during nominations and even referred to her as a "f*g".
Rourke did apologise for his remarks and appeared to reconcile his differences with Siwa as the episode went on.
The Oscar nominee even spoke with Siwa and Chris Hughes about what words are acceptable and what aren't in modern society.
Thanks to both men's respective clashes, their chances of winning this year's series have plummeted with bookmakers.
