The TV personality revealed how fame has impacted her family
I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here star Coleen Rooney has shared an emotional admission about the impact her and husband Wayne’s huge fame has had on their four children.
The TV personality has been candid during conversations on the reality show, and opened up on Tuesday’s instalment about a plea one of her children made.
It came as the group discussed the points in their lives they realised they were famous, with Reverend Richard Coles speaking of his time in The Communards.
He shared: “The big thing for us came when we had ‘Don’t Leave Me This Way’ and it was number one for weeks and weeks, and I remember we were playing in Ireland and we were booked into a sports stadium, we came on stage and there was this barrage of knickers.
“All these girls threw their knickers!”
He continued: "Never in the history of recorded sound did a girl throw her knickers at a band to less effect than to The Communards, I think Jimmy made a scrunchie out of a pair of them and that was it.”

The memory prompted McFly star Danny Jones to share: “For me, it was the fans waiting outside CD:UK and then when we left girls were chasing the car and I was like, ‘What has gone on!’
“It was scary because they were banging on the windows.”
Former boxer Barry McGuigan talked about winning the Commonwealth Gold medal at 17 before returning to Dublin to a flood of fans, while Maura Higgins reflected on the chaos that greeted her when she returned from ITV’s Love Island.
Coronation Street legend Alan Halsall detailed his soap fame had been “constant” and that he’d only struggled with it after the birth of his daughter.
“It’s hard then,” he reflected, sparking Rooney’s confession as the 38-year-old agreed with the actor.
"That’s the thing with kids I think, it’s hard to go on days out,” she confessed.
Sharing one sad exmaple, she continued: “Kai told Wayne to stop coming to football games when he played grassroots tournaments and stuff because he used to get swarmed and he couldn’t even watch the game.
“How do you say to all of these kids, ‘Go away, I'm watching my son?’”
Rooney went on: “Adults, it's different you could speak to them, so he [Kai] just said, ‘Oh dad, there’s no point you coming because you don’t even watch me play anyway,’ which is sad but it can’t be helped anyway.”
Ending on a positive, she added: “At the same time the fans help you along the way and get you where you are.”
After revealing her husband would rather have experienced his football career without the fame, McGuigan disagreed.
