The star has also been grieving the loss of her sister Linda Nolan

Loose Women star Coleen Nolan has revealed she is struggling to pay her bills and mortgage despite her public profile as she opened up about her financial concerns.

The TV personality, 59, admitted that her income "literally goes straight out on bills" and mortgage payments.

Speaking to Woman's Own magazine, Nolan said: "Money that I make literally goes straight out on bills, the mortgage, like everyone, and insurance or whatever.

"So although it looks like, wow, she's got a lovely life, a lovely little farm, and it is lovely, and I know there are people a lot worse off, I've still got these worries. Especially at the moment, mine is the only income coming in."

Nolan purchased her six-acre farm in Dilhorne, Staffordshire in June last year, describing it as her "happy place".

Her money troubles come following her recent split from partner Michael Jones in December and she has since become the sole income provider for the property.

"Bills are going up, mortgages have gone up. Just when you think, 'Oh, okay, I can do this,' then something else goes up and you think, 'Oh my God'."

Despite her successful career spanning from The Nolans to Loose Women, where she reportedly earns £3,000 per appearance, Nolan revealed the financial reality behind her public image.

The star, who sold 30 million records with The Nolans, confessed they "didn't end up with anything" from their musical success, having been "ripped off" during their career.

Ahead of her 60th birthday in March, Nolan told Closer magazine she's feeling "strong and confident" despite her financial worries.

"Of course, I still lie in bed at night worrying about how I'm going to pay the bills, but it gives me the incentive to work hard, and that's good," she said.

Speaking about her split from Michael Jones, Nolan remained positive: "Michael came along at just the right time for me and I think over the last three-and-a-half years we've helped each other grow."

The farm is now home to Nolan, her daughter Ciara and Ciara's boyfriend Max, who live in a converted former Airbnb at the end of the garden.

The property houses an extensive collection of animals, including three horses, five dogs, six cats, five ducks, two cockerels, four hens, and five pygmy goats.

"The best thing about it is, the animals don't care whether I've got make-up on, or what I'm wearing," Nolan previously told OK! Magazine. "As long as I'm giving them food, letting them out or taking them for a walk, they don't care about anything else."

Her candid revelation comes just weeks after her sister Linda Nolan died at the age of 65 after her two-decade battle with cancer.

The Loose Women star penned a sweet tribute to her sister and said: "Linda was a beacon of love, kindness and strength,” she said in a post on Instagram.

“Her wit, humour and laughter was infectious, her presence could light up any room. Linda had a heart full of compassion and always knew how to bring comfort and joy to those around her.

"Her memory will live on in the many lives she touched, and while we miss her more than words can express, we take solace in the love and warmth she shared will all of us.

"Rest in peace, Linda. You will forever be in our hearts. Love you, Coleen xxx (Colette)”. (sic)
