Jeremy Clarkson's other half has taken to Instagram to reveal how Diddly Squat is coping with rather grim weather conditions

Diddly Squat Farm in Chipping Norton, like much of the UK, has been battered in recent weeks with downpour after downpour of torrential rain.

Combined with grey skies, it appears Jeremy Clarkson and Lisa Hogan have been witnessing firsthand how the lack of sun is impacting their produce.

The Clarkson's Farm stars grow plenty of vegetables, fruits and grains on the farm to sell in the farm shop as well as ship off to merchants.

But thanks to a lack of sunlight, Hogan has revealed a whole batch of the raspberries grown at Diddly Squat have failed to ripen to their full potential.

Sharing the update on Instagram, Hogan recorded herself examining one of the fruit-bearing stems.

With the backdrop of a blanket of clouds, Hogan quipped: "The second of August. Lovely weather."

She continued: "And it's been great for the raspberries because they're really juicy...

"But we haven't had enough sun to ripen them," Hogan added.

However, there was one raspberry in the bunch which had managed to ripen, which Hogan promptly decided to pick.

"Look at that, it's mine," Hogan quipped before she ate the fruit and joked: "It's disappearing immediately."

Realising Clarkson may have been keen to try out the limited selection of fruit available, Hogan remarked: "Sorry Jeremy.

"It was going to for you, oops," she joked.

Clarkson and Hogan's struggles with the fruit appeared to be a familiar occurrence in other farms.

One fan took to the comments to echo their battle with the weather as they replied: "Same here in Ireland. Nothing ripening."

However, others didn't seem deterred by the lack of ripening taking place as a second fan commented: "Making my mouth water!"

While a third weighed in: "For me it's the best time at summer: eat ripe raspberries wherever I can find them."

Hogan regularly provide updates from Diddly Squat and how life on the farm is going as fan eagerly await a third season of the Amazon Prime series.

Recently, Clarkson's partner revealed they were finally able to build a car park after appealing to the local council following the rejection of their initial planning application.
