Jeremy Clarkson has made no secret of the fact he's recently bought a pub as part of his next business venture, frequently sharing the humorous problems he's come across since making the purchase.

After the success of the first three seasons of Amazon Prime hit Clarkson's Farm, filming for the next episodes is already underway, and it's understood some of the focus will be on the revamping of the new Oxfordshire pub.

Clarkson admitted last month that it felt like a "dream" to finally be handed the keys to his very own pub after facing hurdles in his other ideas for a new addition to the farm.

The former Top Gear star has shared parts of the journey with fans after deciding to put all his efforts on opening the pub when plans for a Diddly Squat restaurant fell through. It was reported the 64-year-old paid "less than a million" for a country pub called The Windmill in Burford, Oxfordshire.

While Clarkson amused fans by explaining how the pub sat on a former dogging site and later went on to share some evidence of its past, it seems he's been met with another awkward location flaw.

It's understood cameras have had to stop rolling for the filming of the fourth series of Clarkson's Farm, which is thought to be following the car enthusiast as he renovates the pub - due to giant military aircraft.

The MailOnline reports some of the world's biggest military transporters fly directly over The Windmill pub on training exercises from Brize Norton, Britain's biggest RAF base.

The base is just 1.5 miles away from the site - where Clarkson was spotted filming this week. The publication reports he was witnessed making several attempts to shoot part of an episode believed to be focusing on the new project.

Clarkson was seen standing on a new decking area in the pub and pointing at the sky as he attempted to speak directly to the camera.

One local, thought to be a regular at the pub before it had closed, told the publication: "Everyone around here is speculating that he didn't realise quite how close the planes come - or how low they are. And how deafeningly loud.

"We've all read that he bought the pub in a rush - he was open about that. And it'd be just like Clarkson to only find out after he'd bought that he's got Brize Norton as a neighbour.

"His actual farm is something like ten miles away, so he's maybe not twigged that plane noise is a bigger issue around here."

Announcing he'd bought the pub in his Sunday Times column in June, Clarkson admitted he couldn't buy his local drinking establishment in Chadlington as the "locals would set fire to me if I did that" but made clear he wasn't deterred in his search.

"I just needed the pub where all this could happen, and then, after I’d looked at about 14,000, I found just the place. Old, Cotswoldy and sitting in five acres of its own land," he penned.

The Grand Tour star also had to tackle the issue of dead rats at the site as he went on to state: "There is some work to be done on the pub itself.

"For example, the cellar is too small, the gable end is falling down, the outside decking area is dangerous, the water is unfit for human consumption, the loft is full of dead rats and the lavatories are illegal."

The TV personality launched a huge hit on Amazon Prime when the first series of Clarkson's Farm debuted in 2021, and two more successful series have since hit the streaming platform.

The show is set to go ahead with series four soon, with the team having filmed the episodes earlier this year. Clarkson has admitted he "knows" when he'll end Clarkson's Farm, with viewers excited for more updates on Diddly Squat.
