Celebrity Big Brother fans have slammed ITV bosses for this year's "weird" line-up as several have been left asking "how" Gary Goldsmith is a celebrity.
Since rumours began to swirl as to who will be entering the Big Brother house, Goldsmith has been one of the most highly anticipated signings of this year's series.
Many were wondering whether he would address the whereabouts of his niece the Princess of Wales – but instead he gave a brief and blunt answer to AJ Odudu and Will Best.
Minutes after his arrival on the show, viewers flocked to their X account to question why he was on the show and claimed he was “not a celeb".
One furious viewer noted: “I’m sorry but Gary is NOT a celeb and it’s surely a bit risky having him on #CBBUK.”
“Gary who? How the flip flop is he a celebrity? #CBBUK,” another quipped before a third stated: “Being an estranged relative of a Royal doesn't make you a celebrity. Get in the bin Gary.”

“Still confused about who Gary Goldsmith is?” one admitted before a fifth said: “Who is Gary Goldsmith? And I wonder how high he is, on the celebrity scale? Let’s have a look…”
One viewer needed “clarification” on the word celebrity and asked: "How is Gary celebrated exactly?”
Hosts Odudu and Best tried their luck and asked if the Princess would be watching him due to her recent operation – forcing her to miss some of her royal responsibilities.
He noted: “If she is sitting behind a sofa, yes! It'll be a nice one in a nice house somewhere, I can guarantee that!”

Goldsmith’s appearance on the ITV reality show comes as Princess Kate underwent “planned abdominal surgery” back in January.
The Palace reiterated its original statement last week, saying: “We were very clear from the outset that the Princess of Wales was out until after Easter and Kensington Palace would only be providing updates when something was significant.”
The 12 celebrities which have entered the house tonight alongside Goldsmith are former This Morning host Fern Britton, X Factor judge Louis Walsh, Love Island star Ekin-Su Culculoglu, Strictly Come Dancing star Nikita Kuzmin, Ibiza Weekender star David Potts, Regge-Regge sauce creator Levi Roots, Heartstoppper actor Bradley Riches, social media star Zeze Millz, Broadway star Marisha Wallace, Coronation Street actor Colson Smith and Real Housewives of Cheshire star Lauren Simon.
Love Island’s Ekin-Su Culculoglu is shaping up to be this year's favourite to win the series, as bookmakers OLBG.com have forecast odds of 7/2, with Coronation Street star Colson Smith hot on her tail with odds of 4/1.

Meanwhile at the other end of the spectrum, Kate Middleton’s uncle Goldsmith could be the first to be voted out with odds of 20/1, with Fern Britton close behind at 14/1.
Entertainment betting expert Jack Ashton said: “Ekin-Su Culculoglu is 7/2 to win this year's Celebrity Big Brother with bookies now offering full odds on the series after the line-up was leaked.
“The former Love Island winner is the clear favourite with her odds giving her a 22 per cent chance of winning the show!”
