The 73-year-old released a statement about the decision to postpone his upcoming shows
Bruce Springsteen will no longer be taking to the stage for the September leg of his tour in the USA, he's announced.
The singer admitted he was "heartbroken" to make the decision but was forced to do so on the advice of medical advisers.
Springsteen is being treated for "symptoms of peptic ulcer disease" which can affect the lining of the stomach and the small intestine.
According to the NHS, the "most common symptom of a stomach ulcer is a burning or gnawing pain in the centre of the tummy".
This marks the third time this year the tour has been hit by postponements, with gigs being pushed back in March and August.
In a statement released to Springsteen's Instagram page, he addressed the decision to postpone his upcoming gigs but promised fans he'd soon be back.
The full statement read: "Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band have postponed all performances currently scheduled for September 2023, beginning with tomorrow's show scheduled for the JMA Wireless Dome in Syracuse, NY.

"Springsteen made the following comment, 'Over here on E Street, we’re heartbroken to have to postpone these shows.'
"'First, apologies to our fabulous Philly fans who we missed a few weeks ago. We’ll be back to pick these shows up and then some.'
"'Thank you for your understanding and support. We’ve been having a blast at our US shows and we’re looking forward to more great times.'
"'We’ll be back soon,'" the 73-year-old promised before he signed off: "'Love and God bless all, Bruce.'"
Springsteen has already planned to take the month of October off before he is scheduled to return to the stage for the November leg in Canada.
It didn't take long for concerned yet understanding fans to send their well wishes to the singer as they flooded the comments section of the post.
One fan penned: "Bruce, we hope you make a 100% recovery and get back on the road as soon as possible. There we will be waiting for you. Get some rest and take care. We love you."
