An award-winning singer has appeared to leak a text message sent from her an ex-boyfriend which fat-shamed her before their break-up.
Bebe Rexha, 33, seemingly hit out at a her former partner with a screenshot of an alleged message criticising her appearance.
Rexha made the suggestion as she shared a now-deleted picture of the message on social media.
The message appeared to show her ex-boyfriend defending himself by stressing he was being “honest” about her weight gain.
The text said: "Hey. I never said you weren't beautiful and I never said I didn't love you.
“In fact I said how beautiful you are and how much I loved you.
"But I always said I would be honest with you and your face was changing so I told you it was…that was the conversation we were having."
The message went on to suggest Rexha’s facial features changed after gaining 35 pounds.

It continued: “Should I pretend it didn’t happen and that it's ok? Come on I gain 3 pounds and you call me chubbs and fat. Doesn't mean you don't love me.”
The person who sent the message claimed Rexha was “trying to find reasons to break up”.
He added: "If you're unhappy with me/yourself/with life and don't see a future with us then that's ok and that's the reason. Don't use something like that to weaponise your anger or anxiety or any insecurity you may have."
The message ended with the sender saying: "Let me know if you'd like to speak if you need more clarity. Love you."
Social media appeared divided as to how to respond to Rexha’s screenshot.
One user said: “The fact that people in the comments are defending the man and not seeing his gaslighting and manipulation tactics. you trash just like him.”
Another added: “Men just love being in a woman’s business and body shaming us like I just will never understand?? S**t p****s me off real bad.”
However, a third disagreed by pointing out: “She named him chubby first, which is not right.”
