The One Show viewers were hoping for some clarity as they tuned into Thursday's episode following news that presenter Jermaine Jenas, 41, had been sacked by the BBC.
However, many took to social media to complain that his co-stars offered no further details or explanation regarding the axe, with the hosts opting not to mention Jenas at all.
It was announced earlier on Thursday Jenas had been sacked following accusations of inappropriate behaviour.
It's been claimed the broadcaster launched an internal investigation following concerns about The One Show and Match of the Day presenter.
Jenas had been working as a sports pundit for the company and also joined The One Show in 2020.
A BBC spokesperson confirmed the presenter's removal, commenting: "We can confirm that he is no longer part of our presenting lineup."
