The Strictly star issued a warning to her social media followers
Former tennis professional and Strictly Come Dancing star Annabel Croft has shared some frightening news on her Instagram account.
The 57-year-old finished in fourth place in last year's Strictly alongside partner Johannes Radebe and is best known for her successful tennis career, which she retired from in 1988.
Taking to social media on Sunday evening, Croft shared a terrifying experience she had just been through to warn others "on their own" in the capital.
Taking to Instagram, she penned: "I just wanted to warn people who are on their own in London.
"I just got mugged waiting for a taxi outside Kings Cross St Pancras.
"The man was riding a bike and was wearing a balaclava - he rode straight at me and took my phone clean out of my hands.
Croft warned Londoners about the incident
"He rode away with it but luckily dropped my phone so I got it back! Terrifying!"
The post was followed by another update where the tennis pro thanked an unknown witness who had rushed to help.
"On a positive note, there are some lovely people out there!" it began.
"Luckily a lovely gentleman witnessed it and came over to help me. Thank you whoever you are."

Croft won over Strictly fans with her impressive moves and friendship with Radebe.
She had also recently lost her husband, Mel Coleman, when she took part in the competition.
The former sports star credited the show with being a good distraction from her grief.
At the time, she reflected: "It's been a nice distraction is a good word from grief."
