A number of Strictly Come Dancing stars have shown their support to Amy Dowden after she marked a major milestone in her battle with cancer.
Dowden revealed she'd completed her final round of chemotherapy this week after being diagnosed with breast cancer in May.
A tearful Dowden was embraced by staff as well as friends and family in the hospital as she rang the bell in the ward to mark the end of her chemo treatment.
The pro dancer admitted her chemo was the "toughest" part of her battle with the illness but was "eternally grateful" that her treatment has "hopefully now given me chance of more life".
Alongside the tearful update, Dowden also wrote: "I’ll never be the same Amy again but, what I do know is I’m so much stronger than I ever knew and I have made the most amazing friends along the way."
After she shared a video of herself ringing the bell on Instagram, it didn't take long for fans alongside a number of Strictly stars to share their messages of support.

Dianne Buswell, who's currently paired with Bobby Brazier in the ongoing series, commented : "You did it amy like i knew you would!
"I can’t wait to see you blossom and shine the best things are coming for you and I’ll be your biggest cheerleader xxx."
Nigel Harman's pro partner Katya Jones also weighed in: "Definition of hero. You are my hero @amy_dowden," followed by a love heart emoji.
"Amazing Amy," Giovanni Pernice added while Neil Jones commented: "You did it Amy like so many other goals you have set yourself in life, you are the strongest person I know."

Elsewhere, recently eliminated Graziano di Prima shared a series of love heart emojis while Strictly judge Motsi Mabuse added: "You did Amy and you are a role model for so many!! I wish all the best. The strength you have shown in incredible. Proud of you."
"Love you Amy," Karen Hauer echoed while Nancy Xu excitedly typed: "YES YES YESSSSS!!!!!!!"

Dowden was forced to pull out of this year's series of Strictly Come Dancing following her diagnosis.
However, she continues to be a much-loved part of the cast and has made several returns to the live shows to show her support for this year's competitors.
