The BBC agricultural series explored the effects of the Welsh farming protests for a measly 10 minutes

BBC Countryfile viewers were left furious during the latest episode after they claimed the show didn’t do enough to highlight the ongoing battle for farmers across the country.
Protesters became unhappy after the Government proposed subsidy changes, which require 10 per cent of agricultural land to be used for trees.
The SFS (Standard Financial Statement) have said they will replace European Union payments to Welsh farms, which have been worth more than £300 million a year.
Welsh rural affairs minister Lesley Griffiths has seen criticism over the move, which is aiming to "safeguard the environment".
The BBC series briefly touched on the topic during Sunday night’s episode, but left viewers frustrated as they moved “too quickly” – leaving them to feel uneducated.
Taking to their X accounts, one viewer expressed: “The #Countryfile farmers' protests story was incomplete.

“Welsh farmers in particular have been whipped into a frenzy with misinformation. They may need support, but need education too.”
“Am I the only one who could do with a full episode explaining why the farmers are protesting? I want to understand more. #countryfile,” another fumed.
A third expressed: “I reckon #CountryFile could do more about the farmers protests, to explain it and what not.”
“Yes yes yes, but what are the current farming issues, any update about what is happening with French farmers?” another asked before a fifth echoed: “This week has been an absolute disgrace to the show. Bring back farming issues #countryfile.”

During the episode, presenter Charlotte Smith spoke to a few of those who had been effected by the protests, as one noted: “It has come to a point where farmers are saying ‘Enough is enough’ We can’t take anymore.”
When asking another on what they thought the protests would achieve, he said: “If we sit back and do nothing, our industry is going to die. There is no way that agriculture in this country can survive.
“We need to make the British public aware of how farmers are struggling at the moment and we need to make them aware of where their food is coming from.
“We also need to make them aware of Government trade deals are making our jobs harder. They are absolutely going to ruin our industry.”

One TV star who is also effected by the laws and often speaking out against the Government is Jeremy Clarkson who recently slammed the Welsh Labour government.
He simply stated on his X account: “I’m trying to see the Welsh farming policy from the government’s point of view. And I just can’t. It’s completely daft.”
