Bargain Hunt star Roo Irvine issued an important update to the show's followers on her Instagram account which left fans excited about the future of the BBC series.

Over the last couple of months, repeat episodes have been airing on BBC One during the afternoon which has left some viewers annoyed and unimpressed.

However, Irvine recently gave an update on the future of the show and posted an exciting update on her Instagram.

Alongside a montage of photos, she penned: "Another bunch of brand new Bargain Hunt episodes in the oven, baking away for your delectable delight! Bonnie Scotland, open those gates, I'm coming home!."

Fans of the show and Irvine's were quick to flock to the comment section, with one praising: "When will we see them, cos all there is at the moment is repeats!"

"Will look forward to watching the new episodes. Great lunchtime viewing," someone else said before another added: "Ohhh wowwww, looking gorgeous Roo."

"I’m really missing Bargain Hunt on TV!" a fourth penned before a fifth exclaimed: "Thank goodness, really missing new episodes. Keep up the good work Roo and can't wait to see you on the TV really soon. Take care keep safe and well." (sic)

The update from Irvine comes after she took to her website to reflect on two personal losses that impacted her life, noting that two family deaths occurred in quick succession and detailed how it led to her current career.

"Kilcreggan Antiques came about quite by (bad) luck when suddenly, and unexpectedly, in 2013, my wonderful Dad passed away. I was heartbroken and devastated. Then, just three weeks later, my husband Mark also lost his father to a long battle with cancer.

"We walked away from our senior corporate jobs and focused on taking care of our widowed mothers."

According to The Daily Mirror, the website also read: "I'd always loved antiques and had developed a keen eye, so my husband suggested we 'go for it' and Kilcreggan Antiques was born.

"Out of some of my darkest days came a sliver of light. Fate?"

Irvine also opened up about her grief during her Thing I Forgot Were Good For Me podcast and detailed how she moved in with her mother soon after losing her father.

She explained: "We'd been with my mum for five, six months, and we thought, 'Well, we still have to pay the bills, what do we do?' We recently became addicted to auctions, and we furnished our big Victorian house from them, and we had so much surplus stuff.

"And my hubby said, 'Well listen, why don't we start selling some of these on eBay online?'"

Irvine's update also comes after her co-star John Cameron was rushed to hospital with a heart attack just 10 minutes before he was due to film for the BBC series.

Earlier this week, he updated concerned fans again, this time regarding his recovery following the ordeal and penned: "Phase 1 of my rehabilitation is no more cigarettes, much less alcohol and more exercise, ie use the gym membership I have been paying for and not using for years!!!

"Phase 2 of my rehabilitation is get my scooter and motorcycle back on the road and make time to use them instead of just paying for them and not using them like gym membership!

"Thanks to Gary Wells and Allstyles Scooters for helping me with phase two. Hadn’t ridden her for 2 years now she starts first kick again. Not sure how many of my 9 lives still remain but I definitely lost one yesterday.

"To quote the great ancient Chinese philosopher Confucius, ‘we have two lives, the second one begins when you realise you only have one.’ I will now be switching to a more friendly and renewable light source over the candle I have been burning at both ends!

"Sorry also to my wife, children, grandchildren, staff and friends for scaring the ‘Eartha Kitt‘ out of them. #SupportTheNHS."
