Stephanie Takyi has hit out at the Baftas after Barbie failed to secure a win at last night's awards show.
Takyi told GB News: "Last year we saw the big thing was against Barbie versus Oppenheimer, and it done well in the box office, so that's why we're now seeing it pick up all the awards."
Isabel Webster agreed with Takyi and highlighted the lack of awards for Barbie at the Baftas, stating there was "nothing for Barbie or Margot Robbie", but instead she's "getting the headlines and the cash" as a result.
Takyi replied: "It wasn't a big surprise because all through award season, it hasn't picked up anything. What cinema goers like seems to be not connecting with the members who are actually picking what is going to be up for awards.
"Which is a shame because I think when people watch these awards now, they're just not connecting with it."
