Angel Adoree has spoken out at length for the first time about a leaked audio recording that emerged of her berating a member of the Escape to the Chateau crew.
The Channel 4 series came to a close in 2022 but months later, Adoree and her husband Dick Strawbridge were the subjects of an investigation at the channel over "bullying allegations".
Channel 4 axed ties with the couple while their representatives have previously refuted allegations of improper behaviour. A spokesperson told GB News: "“Following a review Channel 4 made the decision to not work with Dick and Angel on any new productions”.
As the allegations came to light, a leaked audio tape depicting Adoree calling a member of the crew a "f***ing c***" emerged.
The husband and wife duo have touched upon the allegations before, insisting Escape to the Chateau was always going to end when it did due to their children growing older, and now, Adoree has delved into the leaked audio in-depth.
Speaking on the podcast How to Fail with Elizabeth Day, Adoree cited a "failure to defend myself" as one of her biggest "failures", which prompted her to explain her side of the leaked rant.

CHANNEL 4"The actual incident, it actually happened a long time ago, it happened six years ago," she began. "When you look back at something retrospectively, it's always so easy to comment and think, 'I wish I'd done that then'... but at the time, it's very difficult to know what to do and I think you're scared a little bit actually because you don't know what this could lead to and what the repercussions can be.
"There were a number of points where I wish I would've done things a little bit differently or maybe I don't! We had so many amazing people around the chateau and filming Escape to the Chateau but in this particular small timeframe, we had somebody who wasn't particularly very nice - his behaviour was totally unacceptable.
"But it didn't just happen in one little moment, it happened over lots of different occasions."
Adoree went on to caveat that she wasn't sharing her side of the story as part of a "poor me" campaign, but wanted to explain that the male subject of the leaked rant was an allegedly "difficult" and "horrible" colleague.

HOW TO FAIL PODCAST
"I want to get some of this off my chest. This particular guy was difficult. He was part of a twosome," she explained before clarifying she remained "good friends" with the other member in the pairing.
"This particular guy was only here for a short amount of time and it was at a high point towards the end of filming a series where the rhythm of the series... we were particularly busy. I think that's why we just didn't have the headspace to address his behaviour.
"He was not very nice, doing these weird pictures of Dick killing animals and posting them to his Instagram... he was so horrible to the children.
"There was once incident where I truly believe he knew he was caught, that's why he set up this filming because the way he was acting was how he'd never acted with me before, and looking back at it, it's so easy to see that's exactly what happened - you don't accidentally film someone when you're not filming and record everything... it completely happened secretively and on purpose."
Adoree then alleged there was an incident where the crew member "broke all of the kids' fishing rods and just left them there" before she explained that the high pressure of wrapping up filming took its toll.
She continued: "We had a few more days of filming and it was like right let's just get on with it and do it because there's always such a tight edit for Escape.

"The next day, I was upstairs and he came up in a really out-of-character way and was really in my face and really angry like he'd lost it.
"At the start - I've not listened back, it makes me feel a bit sick if I do, but all of my friends have and they're like, 'I can hear you gradually getting more angry' and everything he was doing or saying - I can't even remember his words but he was just in my face. And then I just (snapped), 'Get out of my f***ing house'..."
Adoree conceded she "was the one in the wrong for losing my temper" but refused to say sorry.
"I will not apologise. He was so disrespectful in our house, he was so upsetting to me, my family, and I stand by what I did. If I were to apologise for using bad language, I would just be disingenuous to me. "
