The Escape to the Chateau duo tried to impart stern rules on their youngest
Angel Adoree and Dick Strawbridge have opened up on the rigmarole they faced before heading on a family getaway recently.
The Escape to the Chateau duo recently enjoyed a trip to Rome, Italy with their two children before they head on their summer break from their podcast soon.
The Strawbridge family is set to take a break from recording their weekly pod ahead of their return to the UK for a series of shows with their adoring fans this summer.
In order to spend quality family time with son Arthur, 11, and daughter Dorothy, 10, the pair upped sticks to Italy for a holiday - but judging by their latest podcast it was far from plain sailing.
After discussing Arthur's end-of-school party that the pair hosted in their chateau, Strawbridge said: "The next day we packed up! We packed up pretty sharpish, didn't we?
"When you're going away on your holidays, you have to see how many days you're going away, you have to put that number of underpants in (your case), and then some more. That's how it works.

"I don't know how Angela's system works but we've got four big bags that we travel around with... When you're going away on holiday, laundry isn't one of the things you want to be thinking about too much," he added.
Adoree then chipped in to admit she and Dorothy may be culprits for packing a little more than needed for their getaways.
"Every trip, me and Dorothy just completely overpack," the 46-year-old mum-of-two admitted, prompting her husband, 64, to sarcastically reply: "Oh my goodness, and that's news for me!"
Airing his frustration, he continued: "Dorothy is the smallest and she's got the most clothes weight-wise! That does not compute for me.

"My pants weigh more than her dresses yet she still somehow manages to have more clothes in there and more options.
"I think she has to go up and change three times a day to get through them," Strawbridge remarked, which prompted his other half to confess about her stern words of warning.
Adoree said: "I was really strict this time as well! I made her try everything on and I'm like, 'Will you really wear that?' And she goes, 'Yes, yes, I will', and we got rids of loads of stuff...
"(We had) a lovely clear-out that you do of your closet now and again. So I genuinely thought that I'd packed well and then she just ended up wearing 20 percent of it," Adoree conceded.
The former Channel 4 presenting pair then turned their attention to their journey to Rome, heaping praise on Nantes airport.
The family's trip to Italy came as Arthur bid farewell to primary school in what has been an emotional milestone for the family.
